Grand Cafe — Restaurant in Durant

Just horrible! I count 18 tables open and was told 30 min wait. Hostess said they do have surf and turf and showed us the menu. After we finally get in we are handed a different menu that doesn't have the surf and turf. Waitress who looks so relaxed and completely free of stress said the cooks decide to cut the menu down to a limited menu 10 mins ago. Everyone in this restaurant moves at a snails pace. The excuse was low staff wait staff. If you're low staffed I expect to see everyone fighting to make it happen. Nope!!!! FYI more tables equals more money but you have to bust your a$$ to make it.

Just taken their time. Some just leaning up against the wall I've seen more tables per wait staff at Applebee's any given day. These employees look like they all live at home with their parents because making less money doesn't seem to be an issue. If your a restaurant owner and you see this restaurant on their job history just pass them up.they can't keep up. And to boot a hair on the first onion ring we picked up REALLY!!!!!!

I'll come back to edit my review. However, I still feel the same about the wait staff and host. The manager Tabitha showed up and was super sweet . Truly went above and beyond for us...

It was awesome food! Service was mediocre at best. We had to wait a good 10 minutes before we were seated while the host was on the phone and the other hostess back where she thought I couldn't see her talking to someone, but I did. After we were seated the waitress and "her Shadow" (trainee) were quick to the table. But that was about if. Saw them a few times before we ordered but after... They were hard to find. The MOST INSULTING PART, was when she took my money to pay, I paid with exact change because my roommate was going to be leaving the tip. Something she didn't know. The register station happen to be 5 feet behind our table, so I heard every word exchanged between her and "her Shadow" about how I wasn't even going to give them a tip, that they clearly saw that I had more money in my other hand, but "I bet he doesn't even leave it" the main waitress said to the Shadow. Please don't ever assume you have or haven't received your tip until after the patron has completely left the restaurant!! Cause you were about to get a $20...

Ate here before gambling tonight. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken with seasonal veggies and a salad with baby tomatoes and feta and the plate was topped with tatziki sauce. The hubby had a fried catfish plate that was actually pretty tasty. Mine was so-so.... The chicken was way over seasoned and peppery to eat, the lettuce on the salad was wilted and not cold or crispy. The tatziki sauce was bland and not sure what 9was supposed to go with. The squash was good though. This was a 3 start rating but then a fly landed on my plate... So I was done. :( We also ordered a blueberry lemonade that was supposed to be alcoholic but didn't taste any liquor at all in it. The calamari was half breaded and unbranded and the white sauce it came with was weird tasting. For a 24 hr restaurant newly opened.... They need to work on the taste of the food but hey, it's in a casino, so I guess you get what...
