Absolutely horrible experience. My wife, two of my kids and I went here to grab a bite to eat. They were extremely excited as they were weekly visitors of a California pizza kitchen down in Northern California (before me). I started with an appetizer for the table which for some reason came out at the same time as my wife's entrée salad. By the time he brought the appetizer 3 of the drinks of the table were empty he did not ask if we would like a refill or commenting on it at all. About 10 minutes went by where my wife and I were on purpose looking around for our waiter he was nowhere to be seen then we noticed him in the kitchen after about 12 minutes parrot hey then came out after about 18 minutes and gave us our food still not mentioning anything about the drinks we had to say something he then took about 7 minutes to retrieve drinks after that we did not see him for about 25 to 30 minutes until he brought us the check. He did not ask if we were enjoying our meal which I did not the pizza I got was not to my liking one bit whatsoever. Also never had a manager or anybody else ask if we needed anything or if we were enjoying our meal. The bill came to about $80 I sat down $100 bill he then had the gumption to actually ask if I "needed change" I said yes he then brought back 2-$10 bills. Unfortunately I still tipped as for some reason I feel like a horrible person if I don't tip even when I receive extremely subpar service. Afterwards come to find out California pizza kitchen has a rule that they will replace your pizza if you try something new with whatever your standard pizza is if you don't like it. I understand it's hard to get good people to fill positions sometimes but this gentleman acted like he really didn't care the whole time he was there. Very sad to see especially when you go out and spend $80 on a meal. That's not a lot compared to other places but people need to understand that it usually takes about five hours of work for most people to earn $80 after taxes. Oh and we were only one of 2 tables he was serving the entire time...
Read moreThe food is good, but the cheese flat bread has been removed from the menu. The biggest issue we had here was the service from our waitress. She was not very nice, she made us feel like we were a burden. If we asked for something, it took a really long time for her get it to us. We were eager to be done with our dinner just to get away from her. She received the smallest tip we have ever given.
UPDATE: Downgraded to 1 star we had the same waitress 3 times in a row, each time got progressively worse. Our last time, we got our entire meal comped... Between the waitress being asked 4 different times for balsamic vinegar to add to the olive oil for our bread, to the horrible attitude she had towards us and another family sitting next to us, we definitely weren't dazzled. The other issues we had was getting the burned Pizza and our waitress acting like we are an imposition to her because we wanted a different pizza, to our waitress waiting until I stand up and started walking to the manager to get our take and bake so we could go home. We felt like we didn't matter as a customer, and the manager acted like he couldn't take the time to speak to us, and when he did he was very short with us. That was the last chance that we are giving them. We can go somewhere else and definitely get better service where they appreciate their customers.. my recommendation is to stay away from CPK, Don't waste...
Read moreAnother restaurant owned by private equity, using higher prices and shrink inflation to rip us all off. At first I was happy to see that they had a CPK near me while I was staying with a friend. My happiness soon disappeared once I received the food via delivery. The chicken piccata, which has always come with three pretty good size pieces of chicken and a lot of pasta, sauce and capers, is now 1/2 the size it used to be and they are charging $25. To make matters worse, it came with two smaller pieces of chicken and about a cup of pasta, which isn’t enough for even the two smaller pieces of chicken. They literally sent me a kid sized meal. I’ll never waste my $$$ at CPK again. With the amount that I paid for this meal, I could go and buy all the ingredients and make at least 10X as much. To make matters worse, the brownie was old, stale and rock hard. The broccolini I ordered was not broccolini. I’m surprised a restaurant doesn’t know the difference between broccoli and broccolini but apparently they don’t or they just don’t care about lying to their customers. The broccoli had nothing on it. I mean, not a speck of salt not a touch of butter, nothing. The very least they could do for their customers is give a little bit of value and quality food items. Their new tag line should be, below average, no value,...
