Be prepared to drop a bundle here. Everything is al a cart. A simple lunch for the wife and I costed $30. 2 burgers, 2 fountain sodas and a shared fry order. I did like the burgers were not salted, infect there is no seasoning, just meat and the garden. Everyone has gone to kiosk ordering these days - there is a cashier at the counter, but only if you can't do the kiosk thing. They bring the meal to you after a wait period - ours was about 12 mins. The place can get noisy, due to the small size of the dining area, there is an outside eating area - if the weather is nice. During our visit the fire alarm went off, so it only added another experience to behold. I am disabled and I walk slower than others so, I was about the last person out - not one employee offered to go after me or hold the door. Our door man was a nice customer! Majority of employee need some lessons in assisting and manners, they were so for themselves (ok not all of today youth are in this category. But when there are over 5 young employees rushing for the door before customers, there needs to be some time taken out for a learning experience from management - I really hope this happened. And BTW there was no sign of smoke or any other need to RUSH OUT - so much for their 'People First Culture'! Needless to say, I will not return...
Read moreShake shack burgers are decent. They're pretty customizable, which is great. You can order through the app, or on little kiosks, or in person.
We used the kiosk since there was a bit of a line to order in person and I find it easier to order through the kiosk than to walk another person through a slightly custom order (no tomatoes or mayo).
The wait for our order was a little long, but not crazy. Maybe 10 minutes. The burgers were good, if not a little small for the (quite high) price. They're typical smash burgers, with thin patties, slightly crispy around the edges, soft buns and plenty of grease. They give you a lot of cheese and a decent amount of whatever toppings you order. The shakes were really great, though they did leave us wishing there was a bit more.
The booth we sat in wasn't especially comfortable, but it was clean. The restaurant itself was a little loud which seems to be the norm these days -concrete floors, high ceilings, and bare walls.
The only other Shake Shack I've been to is in Vegas, which was way busier, and louder, but ironically, slightly...
Read moreI don't mind tipping a human. I walk in to the lobby and look for the line at the counter to order . Notice the pads on the side counter, that people were placing their own orders on so I did the same. Kinda confusing menu really. At the end was the pay screen and a "tip section".... Who the heck at this point, am I tipping? Also I didn't like the fact of entering my phone number and email on the computer so they could text me when the order was done. Smh. Anyway I get the burger, pulled open the buns and what do I see ? The patty looks like it had divits in it, lol. ya like a golf ball or maybe like someone in the kitchen was picking at the burger... I don't know it just looked funny. Anyway it was a bit oily or greasy I guess . Ohh it was the avocado bacon burger. It looked good on the screen but quite disheveled upon arrival . I think I took a pic of the burger I'll have to check. The staff was nice 👍 nothing bad to say at all about them. just not the...
