The interior was hypnotically Caucasian. Tones rang of Taylor Swift and tapioca-puddingcore atmosphere.
I had to wait in line at the register to ask a simple question because no staff were willing to stop and answer a quick question for me and help me locate the foundation I use.
The cashier looked up the product I had bought before and told me to go grab one. I go there and they don't have it anywhere on the shelf. I go back to the register and she just shrugs and says "Oh, we only sell that online now." But. They still carry that same line. And I bought my last one in-store 2-3 months ago. It surprises me they just stopped carrying it in stores. Why did she send me across the store and make me look for 5-10 minutes without checking to see if they even had it in stock? I was really annoyed.
It was a weird experience overall. Other shoppers were very rude and entitled. It was mostly wealthy looking moms with their equally stuck-up daughters. Someone damn-near slammed a door in my face when I was entering. The cashier was nice but not helpful at all. Most staff scoff/ignore you when they walk by. I wouldn't go back to this one. Everyone inside seemed miserable and angry.
I had a WAY better experience shopping at the one in Pioneer Square. People were a lot friendlier. It was better staffed and the staff were very helpful and nice. It also felt more diverse and inclusive than...
Read morei went there to get a lipgloss and when i walked in everything was normal and i felt fine. the longer i stayed trying to find a affordable gloss, the more the employees gave dirty looks. not sure if it’s because i’m a teenage girl and i had bags from other stores with me but i felt extremely uncomfortable in the store and as if i was being judged. i honestly always prefer ulta and this is the last time i will be going to sephora. when i went to ask employees for help they would look at me like i was crazy or weird. when i was checking out my item the lady was nice but when i was done she told me to put a moisturizer and something else in the shopping bag. i said i’m sorry i don’t know what your talking about. she said it again and i laughed having no clue what she was talking about and then she did a snarky remark and said okay bye sarcastically. i was very uncomfortable and felt unwelcome in that store and i am very disappointed but honestly not surprised. i suppose they assumed i was stealing which is so out of line and unbelievable and definitely not true. very upset and i will never be shopping here again and i definitely do not recommend. sephora always follows people who aren’t white middle aged ladies. stop making everyone out to be theifs and maybe you’d get more business. ulta over...

Sephora is my absolute go-to for anything beauty-related. I mean, the selection is just incredible. They have everything from high-end luxury brands that make me feel super fancy to those indie brands that all the beauty gurus are raving about. Whenever I'm looking for a new foundation, a bold lipstick, or even just a really good moisturizer, I know I'll find it there.
One thing about Sephora, though, is that the staff is always ready to help. On one hand, I really appreciate that they're so knowledgeable and eager to help me find exactly what I need. They've given me some amazing recommendations over the years. But sometimes, I feel like they're following me around the store a little too closely. Like, I get that they want to make sure I have a good experience, but sometimes I just want to browse in peace, you know?
Overall, though, I love shopping at Sephora. The huge variety of products and the helpful staff definitely outweigh the occasional feeling of being watched. Whether I'm looking for a specific product or just want to explore the latest beauty trends, Sephora...
