1 star for the chick trying to be nice, but that's all I got. I guess the place is good for older women with basic nail colors. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Couldn't get in with my normal nail tech (she's fire) so I came here to just throw on some nails for my birthday. I looked on their website to pick something that they have done. The photo I choose was posted 2 days ago. Pretty basic, but clearly they just did it so should be no prob. Yeah ... First off, I called earlier in the day to ask about an appointment and they told me to come at 1. Get there 10 til and apparently they told like 2 other ppl to come at 1. It's 130 before I get started. I pull out the photo and they don't have the glitter that is in the nail in the photo. When I say it's from YOUR website, she brings over all these glitters that are clearly NOT the glitter type from the photo. They don't have any chunky glitter like the one from the photo. I say don't worry about it. When it's time to polish, she insists on trying it and it looks dumb as I expected, but I was super ready to go. She tries to tell me it's because it is pixelated on the photo. No ma'am, it's not the same glitter. I will just glue stones all over it to cover it later. But my point is, I know these pictures they posting are NOT their work. Proven today, but you can judge for yourself with the photos. She didn't charge me for the "design" *laughable* but she did cut me with the file to the white meat so..there's that.

Saw a few bad reviews and thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Staff were very nice, but unfortunately the actual full set manicure I got was really bad. The man who did my manicure did not clean the station from the previous woman at all before pulling me over to do my nails, there was dust and trash all over. I asked for them to even the length of my nails, and he added length to a few, but then over-filed the others so they were all very different lengths. When I told him they weren't even, he acted like he would fix them and then didn't. Additionally, he over filed my nailbeds, causing pain, and also nicked my cuticles on 6 different nails, causing bleeding. He also did not fully dust off the nails between coats, so I was left with grit under the paint. The acrylic is also extremely uneven and thick in parts. Some nails look nice, others are flat or very thick on one side. My fingers also had several areas of my skin covered in polish bc he was not being careful. And lastly, the filing job on the side of my nails was awful. I had shredded hangnails that got caught on everything on every nail. It's almost like he filed a split in my nail instead of filing the edge. I hope they improve their cleanliness and procedures more, as I left feeling very unsatisfied and honestly worried about infection. Pictures were taken the day after.

Came in for a hard gel fill—was told the price would be $50 with the $5 off coupon bringing it to $45, when I went to pay, the price changed to $55, and when I asked why they told me prices aren’t set and that it was only a price quote…this really bothers me because it feels disingenuous. The manicure was not well done: uneven filing, the nail shape is off, spots left unpainted. But what I’m most disappointed at was this was a birthday gift to myself and I felt taken advantage of; it felt really shady. I highly doubt I will be a repeat customer—I only wish I had read previous reviews as it seems this business tends to change prices and take advantage of people frequently. I wish I could afford to get my nails fixed elsewhere but unfortunately I save up and set aside money for my monthly manicure and now I’ve spent it on one where the business reads negative reviews and posts the same copy/paste response and won’t even really take my experience into account and try to right the situation. UPDATE: I was contacted by the salon and they offered to fix my nails free of charge. Gina fixed my nails for me and made them look EXACTLY how I’d envisioned. I am so so happy that they righted the experience—next time I’m in Chapel Hill, I know exactly where I’m getting my nails done. 💛💅

Where do I start!! I purchased a livingsocial voucher for a pedicure @ this "spa" and I went in expecting, well at least a proper pedicure and maybe a little bit a of a friendly attitude. I will explain exactly what happened. I would like to say I am a very positive person and always approach with a smile on my face.

I walked in and there were maybe 3 customers, I know one next to me also had a LS voucher. I was greeted nicely by the man, I think is the owner, and was told to have a seat and a free drink and that someone will be with me shortly. He then shortly told me to come and have a seat on the pedicure chair, he was already providing service to someone else. I sat down and waited for someone to come and at least turn the water on or the back massage on the chair. I waited for 15 minutes and nothing. I was sitiing with my back twisted and feet hagning to side of the chair so I politely asked if someone could turn the water on for me so I can soak my feet until they finish with the other customers. Then a very unpolite young lady said "we will be right there" in a very aggressive tone. The man came and turned the water on, I manged to figure out how the massage option on the chair worked. I then waited 20 more minutes ... I didn't mind the wait. The same young lady then came with a menu asking to add 5 more dollars for a massage and I declined because I wanted a french pedicure, which is 5 dollar extra. She then said for my own sanitary benefits, she recommends that I purchase a one dollar file and buffer to use for now and when I return in the future, so I accepted.

The whole pedicure lasted ..... wait for it .... 5 minutes and resulted in the worst french manicure I have ever seen!!!! I can do a better job at home. I didn't get any type of foot rub, lotion and when i asked for a very general top coat I was told they didn't have it and was told to do another type instead, when I said I didn't like it that was when the "talking about me in their native language" began. Wow, it was amazing how stupid they think I was because they neglected to think that they were supplementing with English words to complete their sentences and of course the eye rolling and the expressions were just unbearable. I asked why I didn't get a foot rub or why it was so short and I was told, it was because I purchased the basic pedicure package. Mind you, the person sitting next to me with the same exact voucher started like 30 minutes before me and I was done way before she was. I know because I overheard her saying she doesn't want anything additional. Oh, I forgot to mention, while she was filing my nails it hurt so bad I had to ask her top stop, and of course I was told "it is the way I do everybody's nails." After I left, I found out that I was bleeding and my two middle toes are still healing from the scar and it has been like 2 months, promise no exaggeration here!

I have never in my life experienced this much attitude from any nail salon or any other place for that matter. There was another older lady that was very nice to me but the two other young ladies had the most disgusting attitude I've seen. If the man is the owner then I would really advice him to consider firing these two, it looks like I am not alone with this experince. Its not worth losing a business because there are tons of nail spas around the the choice is all ours!! I hate giving bad reviews but this experience really deserves it!

FYI, just because you can speak another language, it doesn't mean people can't understand you're bashing them. At least wait until I leave! Definitely NOT...

I wish I could leave less than one star. I truly have never written a google review before, but feel it necessary to warn others about this place. For added context, I recently moved to the area and work in healthcare. I have an event this weekend, so despite having a long shift and really wanting to go home, I did a quick google maps search for a nail salon and found this one. I regret not reading the reviews before wasting my money here. I moved from New York and got my nails done every 2-3 weeks, and can honestly say this was the worst experience I have ever had AND one of the most expensive - just for a normal manicure and pedicure (NOT gel or anything fancy)! The "massages" on my feet and hands were so painful I had a startle reflex and pulled my limbs away to avoid the painful pressure. The tech doing my nails put only ONE COAT of nail polish on my toes and finger nails, and when I clarified that I was used to two coats, she acknowledged that is standard but that she only does one coat so that it goes faster... So in summary at this point, I had painful massages that did not relax me but actually did the exact opposite, AND I was paying for less product on my nails. However, my reason for giving this place one star is not just for those aforementioned reasons. The actual reason I give this place one star is because they ripped my toe and nail cuticles so hard that I bled from numerous places and I became really concerned about the general cleanliness of the tools they were using and risk for infection. The technique that was used to removed my cuticles was barbaric. Instead of using the scissors to trim along the cuticle nail-bed, the tech would take the scissors, get a piece of cuticle, then rip along the bed, causing the cuticle to cut up into my finger and take skin rather than just cuticle. I was stunned. As mentioned, I work in healthcare; my original plan was to get my nails done then run into target to grab some makeup for this weekend; however, due to the number of cuts I had on my fingers and toes, I worried about developing a paronychia and decided to just go home and shower to make sure everything was well cleaned! I hope this review allows you to feel more informed and avoid this place, and perhaps at least empowers you to speak up if you do decide to go here to...

Don't go here for Pink&White! I went in and asked how much they charge for a fill-in of both the P&W and they told me $45. Highway robbery! I asked how much to fill just the pink and they said $25, I was in a hurry to get home after work so I said fine. The girl started working on my nails and she said you should try gel nails, "they're better for you". I said no thanks, I've been on the P&W bandwagon for 8+ years and I'm happy with these nails. The girl proceeded to argue with me as only someone who works at a nail salon could, telling me I didn't know what I was talking about and I've never had them so how could I judge them? I said no, I want to stay with my P&W, I've done research on gel nails and I know that I probably won't like them because they're pliable compared to my nails now (plus a sign in their shop said a gel set is $70??). She said she noticed that I had the shiny hardening gel on top of my previous set and that it would be $5 extra...um seriously? Why are you people nickel and dimeing me? Every other nail salon under the sun has that included in the price of P&W. Then the girl proceeds to overfile my nails down, quite on purpose, to where there was BARELY a sliver of white on top. She then said for $10 more she could go back and put the gel white on top of my P&W....do you think I'm going to reward you for intentionally screwing up my nails? No. Never returning here again. Places like this remind me why finding a new nail salon in a new area is what I absolutely...
