My first experience with webuyany car didn't go as expected. As they say, if anything sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I was quoted a little over $3200 for my 2012 Hyundai accent with 130k miles. The process went well except toward the end when it came to payout it turned sour quick. My car is 10 years old, so it has a little paint faded here and there and it needs 2 ball joints in the front. However, the car runs and drives fine. The average KBB value for my car, based on its condition is still at around $5500 (and $4800 on the lowest), so for them to offer me $1500 felt like a slap in the face and a waste of my time. It felt like a borderline bait and switch. The Manager Al was nice and respectful but I cannot see myself ever doing business with webuyanycar ever again. Just save yourself time and sell the car to a private buyer on FB or Craigslist.

Many thanks to Tom Duffy, the manager at the RTP office of webuyanycar.com, for making my car selling experience quick, easy and profitable. Webanycar's purchase offer far exceeded that of any of the other six vendors I visited. The selling process was a breeze and Tom was a complete joy to work with. webuyanycar will definitely be my first stop for any future transactions, and I have already them referred two friends.

We had a great experience with Cliff at WeBuyAnyCar. He was knowledgeable and gave us an offer very quickly for a 2005 Subaru Outback with 110,000 miles. It was low miles for its age but was in need of some repairs and the paint was peeling. The entire transaction from start to finish to took less than one hour, be sure to make an appointment. Thank you, Cliff!

AMENDED REVIEW Whereas everything I wrote below the solid line is true, I subsequently found that as a company they do value customer satisfaction very highly. After reading my review a representative from the company called me, verified my experience, and offered to send an additional check to bring the amount I received up to the fair value of the car. I received the check by express mail less than 2 days later. So my post-sale experience was definitely five stars and I'm raising my overall experience to 4 stars as a result.

Experience was not any different from any other used car sale I've had in the last 40 years. Sold a car that was over 20 years old with 144K miles, so I really just wanted to get it out of my driveway without a lot of effort.

Arrived exactly at time of appointment. One person there and he was on the phone for a while. In each of the 3 phone calls I received prior to the visit, I was told I'd have a firm offer in about 20 minutes and the entire process would take 45 minutes to an hour. It took almost an hour to give me a revised offer and the entire visit took an hour an 45 minutes.

After having called me every day for 3 days prior to the appointment confirming the preliminary (i.e. starting point of negotiation) offer I received, person tells me that the offer was old (13 days to be precise) and that the new preliminary offer was 25% lower than the one I had in writing.

After inspecting the car and doing a background search, I was given an offer that was 62% lower than the preliminary offer. The person then tried to justify it by saying the car was milage exempt (note that every car in NC over 20 years old and/or over 99,999 miles is milage exempt) meaning that the true odometer reading could not be verified and it was going to cost them $559 to "fix that". I asked how they "fix it" and was told it was done when they retitled the car, which I later checked and does not cost any more than getting any other title.

After negotiating for a while I settled on a figure that I thought they'd accept and would get me out of there; exactly half the original estimate I received. The person typed it into the desktop and said "I'm not sure if they'll accept that but we can see" ... same thing as going to a dealer and the sales agent saying they have to ask their manager. They did accept my offer.

Printed and signed all documentation, got my...

I had a 2009 ACURA TL with 150,000 miles and in top shape. I took care of that car well and did all the services at the dealership. I was going to get the ACURA RDX 2022 and was ready to sell my TL. I had my car looked at CarMax, did online appraisal at VROOM and Carvana. My ACURA dealer was interested for a trade-in as well. My ACURA dealer had the best offer and so I decided to trade it in when I get the RDX. On the drive to the dealership (Hendrick at Southpoint), I heard a commercial on the radio for WeBuyAnyCar. So I stopped by the one in RTP on Hwy 54. Averisto Mendez, Branch Manager - We Buy Any Car Research Triangle Park appraised my car and offered $894 more than what my ACURA dealer offered (which was $2000 more than CarMax, $1400 more than VROOM and $1370 more than Carvana. Averisto is a jolly good fella, chatty, and made me comfortable right of the bat. He was courteous, laid all the facts down, explained the process and in about 40 minutes, we exchanged the title and keys for a check. Simple, easy, and smooth. I called my rep, William Crosier (Bill) at Hendrick Acura at Southpoint and told him to take the trade-in off from the sale and adjust the price and I was going to take an Uber to the dealership, but Bill, graciously came and picked me up from WeBuyAnyCar and in an hour I drove off in my brand new ACURA RDX 2022. It was an...
