Saloon 151 — Restaurant in West Chester

Has always been one of my favorite spots to hit. I love coming to sit at the bar every once in a while! Drinks are always delicious. Food has always been above average as well. But todays experience was so awful. Sat outside to listen to the live music and probably our last time ever going. It was not very busy at all and our service was so awful. Our server took our food and drink order as soon as we sat. Brought out our drinks and we never saw her again. Food came out and wasn’t bad, fries were underdone but that was the least of the issues. We had both finished our meals and drinks. It was over 40 minutes without our server asking if we need anything or how our food was. I decided to go inside to the bar to order a drink since she was no where to be found. The bartender was very sweet and friendly and had my server bring it out. I received my drink and the glass was dirty and still had lip stick marks on the rim. I did not drink it due to the dirty glass but our server again did not come out for a long time. We sent the drink back and decided to leave. The only thing on the bill comped was the drink in the dirty glass. Zero stars. I brought an out of town friend on Thursday and ordered drinks. There was a miscommunication regarding Thursday special and what the price of drinks were. When the female bartender - dirty blonde working the late shift - gave us the price, it was different than we expected. I had to confer with friends regarding who was paying and Another friend actually paid for the drinks. After drinks were collected I attempted to ask what drinks were under the special and she literally told me she wasn’t going to answer my question because I made her wait for payment when that wasn’t the case. I tried to offer an understanding and she proceeded to scoff and basically ignore me. I asked the question again and she told me if I wanted service to see a different bartender. She then attempted to flag me from the bar. This by far was the worst service I received and the bartender seriously needs a better attitude. Another person from my party attempted to order drinks and she was also ignored. Your bartender was very obviously stressed and it reflected numerous times during our experience. Awful bartender,...

I can't tell if it's on its way up or on the way down. The food was pretty good but not outstanding. The service was not so much. It was someone's first night waiting tables. Who schedules someone to wait tables for the very first time on a Saturday after a football game? That's what you do on Tuesday. They managed however, with little guidance from the management. Management was busy putting out fires elsewhere. 2 tables walked out because the service was bad. The manager just threw his hands in the air and watched them walk. I just don't think there was much training for the servers or the manager. Back of the house seemed to have their game together as they ran their own food. It was good, not great, but it was hot and fresh. It might be getting better and going through growing pains or it might be getting worse and the good employees are leaving.
