We came here after with a friend's suggestion. We were excited to try because we loved our neighborhood French bakery in Queens, New York and we didn't find a good French bakery near us. The place is 30 minutes away from us but it is easy to find. A few people were already enjoying their morning at the couple tables outside of the restaurant when we arrived. We went in, there are many tables to sit at, it's open, bright and comfortable. There is an array of savory and sweet bakery items. And they offer savory and sweet crepes on the menu as well. We want to start with the basics so we got the almond chocolate croissant, brioche, latte and mocha coffee. The almond chocolate croissant was delightful. It is a chocolate croissant baked with almond paste in the middle and almond slices on the top. It was delicious but a bit on the sweeter side for me. My mocha was really good but also a bit sweeter for my taste. However, it warmed me up after a sip on the windy Saturday morning! The brioche is good but the sugar crystals made the brioche a bit too sweet as well. The latte was delicious! After our breakfast, we bought many more items to try at home: 1/2 baguette, 1/2 special baguette, madeleine, pain de mie, orange chocolate brioche, plain croissant and chocolate croissant. The baguettes are crusty outside and soft and chewy in the center. It becomes tastier the more I chew on it. The croissants are great though I prefer a bit more flakier type of dough. The madeleine was in a heart shape. It's one of my favorite treat and the heart shape made it special. The white bread is a simple pleasure warmed up with just some butter. I still have the orange chocolate brioche to try and I think I will enjoy it as well. Overall, I really liked everything we tried and wouldn't mind to stop in again for our French bakery fix if we are in the area. There is no private parking but there were plenty of street parking nearby.

La baguette magigue is my new go to bakery. My favorite part about this bakery is that you’re transported to France with not just the decor but the smell of baked goods! When you first walk in there is a small selection of international food items like olive oil. The workers are very friendly and welcoming. I loved the way we were treated. They even offered complimentary jelly and butter up at the cash register. Which by the way, the jelly was amazing! There was a little of everything you could ever want! From Eclairs to the most amazing croissants! I was looking for more of a lunchtime meal so I ordered the Ham & cheese croissant. The crispy exterior would pass the knife test. The Swiss cheese and ham were nicely added in with a good bake! The buttery finish was amazing. I could not help but also order the chocolate croissant which was the French kiss of the whole experience! Absolutely delicious with the right amount of chocolate inside. We also ordered the bacon & cheese brioche. Crispy exterior with such soft structure on the inside! The cheese was melted on top with a sprinkle of bacon which topped it off really nicely. There were tiny pâte a chouxs that we could not pass up! The ratio of cream and puff pastry was so delicious two was just not enough! They had limited drinks options. With just sparkling water, sprite, kombucha and coffee. For all of my British bake off fans, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith would approve in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this bakery and would come back as soon as I can!

A charming little French inspired shop, excellent service, and delectable pastries. This is a very lovely little shop. That has these adorable little tables with cute little flowers. The chairs have seen better days, some of the wicker ones are starting to unravel and the chairs just aren't comfortable enough for you to want to stay and chat for very long. The food and pastries are the star of the show here. I've tried a variety of their offerings and they're all delicious and reasonably priced. Their drinks are another story, my husband's caramel latte he said was good but they didn't even have my usual drink of choice of a chai tea latte. So I went with a hot chocolate which wasn't very chocolatey at all, just very bland and somehow my small hot chocolate cost more than his large caramel latte... I'll definitely want to come back for the food but I'll probably walk down the street to Carlinos for a drink.

La Baguette Magique,

You are truly a magical place! Thank you for opening your home to us Catherine Seisson for my bridal shower this past Saturday! You and Amy were incredible to work with.

Just when I thought I couldn’t love your bakery more, you completely outdid yourselves! The salad, sandwiches, bebe choux, cannale, cookies, quiche lorraine.... everything was absolutely delicious! Not only are your food and pastries delectable, but you both have created such a warm and inviting environment. Your warmth and kindness spills over into your food and the bakery itself. La Baguette Magique is a truly special place.

Also.... I consider myself a bit of a macaron snob, and let me tell you – not only were your macarons the most perfect texture inside and out, but I was absolutely floored that you made macarons in the shape of hearts! You ladies are amazing.

Saturday was everything I was hoping for and beyond!... a place to enjoy delicious food and spend time with the women in my life whom I so treasure.

I look forward to years and years of enjoying your bakery in the borough.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, a VERY happy bride-to-be!!

PS - I wish I could post the photos from the shower in this review! It...
