Apna Bazar - Hartford — Attraction in East Hartford

I'm the first customer with negative review but I was a loyal customer from the first day this store opened until I tried to return spoil onions for maybe some good ones .I referred family, friends and people to shop there and even spoke to few managers to see if they can get Grace products in the store.I purchased onions and attempted to use them and they where spoiled on the inside so when I picked up the bad and inspected it ,it looks good on the outside but unfortunately slimey spoiled on the inside and this means there's a lot more bad ones in that Smile brand in that store .I was told when the girl upfront called a guy and asked if I can get another set of onions he said no lol so the onions cost less than I have spend at this store since it opened and I guess I'm not a valued customer.This is America and when bad products are sold rhe customers need to have a fair exchange or money back.I can't believe they rather lose customers than to address the issues,well I guess it won't hurt...

This is completely unacceptable from the management!

Two days ago, we purchased Al Safa Frozen Nuggets from Apna Bazar. At the time of purchase, we did not check the expiry date. However, when we attempted to cook them today, we noticed a foul odor. Upon checking the packaging, we realized that the product had expired two months ago. It is extremely irresponsible to have expired food items still available for sale.

We urge all customers to carefully check expiration dates before purchasing. This is not just a matter of money—it is a serious health concern, especially for our children who deserve a safe and healthy diet.

Whether this oversight is due to negligence or a lack of proper quality control, it is unacceptable. Attention to detail in food safety is...

Wonderful Staff –Always Greets with a Smile!

Apna Bazar is a great place to shop, and we're lucky to have it in our neighborhood. The staff are always friendly and helpful — especially Cashier Tania, who consistently greets customers with a warm smile and positive attitude. Her kindness and professionalism truly make the shopping experience more pleasant.

The store offers a wide variety of fresh foods, and everything is usually well-organized. However, I would recommend paying a bit more attention to the frozen and packaged food sections. Occasionally, I’ve come across items that are close to expiration or already expired, which doesn’t align with Apna Bazar’s good reputation.

Still, overall it's a convenient and well-run store, and we appreciate the great service provided...
