Let me first say that crafting is my second job, and buying supplies is necessary!
Hobby Lobby has an abundance of merchandise for home decor, crafting, and well too many other various things. Yes, they have a variety of of items for literally every craft you can think of, but that's the problem! Hobby Lobby carries the bare minimum of supplies for each of the thousands of craft subcategories they stock. Which means trip to another hobby store to find the item that will complete your project.
The home decor sections feel like I am walking through a gigantic tag sale, very random, all over the place merchandise. Most items seem cheaply made and have poor quality, yet the prices of these items are outrageous, way too overpriced!!
To top it off, the staff is rude and could care less about providing decent customer assistance. They have zero product knowledge, in fact one shopping trip I needed fabric cut, easy task right? Apparently not- the women had not one clue how to measure the fabric out and cut it. Some of the other staff members witnessed her struggling and instead of trying to help they walked in the other direction, fast and far! It got so painful to watch this women struggle that I ended up cutting all the fabric myself!
Unfortunately this is the closest craft store near my home, but I will only go there if it's an absolute emergency. Yes- I drive 20 minutes away just to avoid this awful, poorly ran store. What is even more unfortunate, I Believe this hobby megastore has so much potential to do...
Read moreGreat customer service and everyone who helped me or that I spoke with were excellent and helped greatly with very specific needs. Pleasant staff and manager was very friendly and loved how he treated his staff. They all seemed to get along very well and professional and down to earth with customers. They have so many items for decor and crafts and hobbies. Beautiful store with lots of beautiful pieces to add to your home like lamps, art, prints, tables, pillows, curtains, a fabric area, prints and photo area, and so much! Items for scrapbook ingredients, sewing, stamping, art supplies ( kids , beginners and more seasoned artists) beautiful candles and wall art, lovely journals and so many items large and small and everything in between. I have been there many times but just went again recently and forgot how much I love this store. I will definitely be returning again soon. Great affordable prices and excellent customer service. They also have lots of kids art and activity sets and great gift ideas. Also great way to style your home and get creative without breaking the bank! Holiday and seasonal items also available. Definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for any of the above listed, or even just to stop in to check it out! Plenty of parking. Great location right off the hiway. Easy access to hiway on and off. Had great experience and even a return was handled wonderfully. Ill be...
Read moreThe customer service is poor at best in this particular location. It's the only one I've been to so I'm not sure if others are better. I can never find what I'm looking for. I always have to ask a sales associate but there are never any around!!! I literally had to chase one down the other day to help me find what I was looking for. When I finally got to him, I asked him where this particular item was, instead of taking me to it, he just pointed me in the direction. Which by the way, I HATE! I think that's so rude and he was a manager!!! The selection of thread available for bead making jewelry was pretty limited. And finally, my biggest gripe, they're closed on Sundays bc they observe it as a religious day of rest. In my opinion, religion and business should NOT be mixed together! There are so many people in this world who don't have the time to go to the store during the week and maybe not even on Saturday. Why are you imposing your religious beliefs upon others? I personally try to always shop at Michael's craft store even though it's much farther for me but this day I just didn't have the time to get there. And bc of all the reasons listed above, I will continue to avoid Hobby Lobby...
