If I could give 0 stars I would. A staff person in contact services named Blessing was horrible at customer service, inappropriate, and passive aggressive. Case Credit Union put a hold on a check I deposited and I called to have the hold removed, since the check came from a source I frequently receive check deposits from. I explained to Blessing that I was traveling alone and needed the hold on the check to be removed as soon as possible. Blessing lied and said she would speak to the manager about it, then only put me on hold for about 15 to 20 seconds and then came back and said “The hold will not be removed”. I then asked, “Even though, I frequently get deposits from this source and I’m traveling alone in need of funds?”, Blessing then said “Well, do you usually get a deposit in that amount?”. Blessing’s response was inappropriate and it made me feel uncomfortable, as if they were jealous I was receiving that amount and they should have been more concerned about my well being as a customer for several years traveling alone and needing the hold removed. I then, told Blessing “…I frequently receive deposits from this source, so not sure why that matters.” Blessing then repeated “We will not remove the hold”. At that point, I just hung up and called again. I received help from another contact service staff person who actually helped me get the hold removed. It’s disappointing that Blessing could have been helpful and provide good customer service, but decided not to. They were also inappropriate and passive aggressive. I’m really considering banking elsewhere. The second contact service person is the only reason why I might stay with this credit union. I shouldn’t have to call multiple times to get assistance and good customer service. Who’s name she wouldn’t give me, while helping me before getting her manger name listed above. They were very judgmental and profiled me. While I was only trying to open a simple savings account. I gave them a BWL BILL and also my ID, social security info. I was told red flags came up because, I had out of town address, and still lived in the city of Lansing. (I didn’t know that mattered) then asked for proof of my lease and agreement I provided her with proof of my address and still had negative responses and accusations suspected upon me. So I mention (this is a bad experience) and I said but (no big deal Id like to continue opening a savings account). So then the manager said (why would you want to bank here, if you had a bad experience. I wouldn’t want to bank somewhere where I’m having a bad experience.) missing the whole entire point why I’m there in the first place. just to open a simple savings account. Read moreIf only I could give this place zero stars to truly show my frustration, I would. First time getting a car loan, no problem, great interest rate. Second time, what a piece of work this has been. I have called multiple times and gotten different answers. Nothing has been easy. 1. Didn't think to tell me they needed a paper for the car title. Called them to see what to do because they sent me a letter in the mail stating my interest rate would go up if they did not receive the document. Come to find out they already had the document. 2. I have called multiple times trying to get payments set up for my new loan. They told me they were set up correctly and then nothing was pulled from my account the first time. Called again, I was told I needed to fill out a form. Then was told they were set up correctly, come to the next month MY OLD CAR PAYMENT WAS PULLED FROM MY ACCOUNT. That account has been closed since February, it is now April. Since there is always a wait on the phones (probably because everyone has issues) I tried to chat online.
