I went to this establishment today 5-7-2025 to get a tempered glass replacement for the top half of a storm door(see photo) 24âx40â. The first person (see photo)to assist quotes me $175 without even measuring the the frame. Then the thin light complexion guy with the white shirt chimes in and takes over the conversation. He says it will take 2 weeks for the tempered glass because it has to be ordered but we have plexiglass in stock which is more expensive but we can give it to you for the same price of $175 and you can get it today. I advise that itâs no rush but he push the plexiglass. Since they didnât except Apple Pay I agreed to return Friday 5-9-2025 to pay and pick up my frame. The first guy returns to the counter and writes up my ticket for for $175 + tax. The guy in the white shirt asked me to pay in cash when I return. My response is Iâm gonna pay in cash and also pay taxes? He agrees to take the taxes off and makes the correction on their portion of the receipt. I give them a $20 deposit and was informed my balance is $155.00. I leave the shop and of course do my homework on plexiglass. I returned to the shop 15-20mins later to advise that it offends me to do business with them. The guy in the white shirt smirks and laughs at me. I took my $20 , frame and left the shop. People please be careful if you choose to do business with these people. They are willing to deceive their customers and the government to line their pockets. I would have given them 0...
Read moreMy experience just getting a quote was horrible. I spoke to a number of 4 associates within two weeks to try and get a vanity/desk top replaced. I had to chase down the owner Charles just to set up a time for them to get the measurements and give me an in-person inspection of the item needing replacement. The desk associate Crystal was nice but she didnât follow up with me either in regards to getting an actual call back from Charles. I sent pictures with detailed writing and circling indicating what I would need done. Then Charles passed my information to another associate Dean, who was also nice but apparently couldnât make a move without Charles giving him the okay. At the end I spoke to another person named Chris who tried getting ahold of Charles for me but in the end once I finally got the quote after chasing them down for my business, the quote was incorrect and doubled in price. I was quoted for 2 pieces when I only needed one. The only call back I received in a timely manner was to correct the incorrect quote of about $700. That was the final straw and I would never recommend this business due to the unprofessionalism, lack of follow up, and inconsistency. Iâd rather cut some glass myself before allowing them to do work and possibly mess up like theyâve done throughout the...
Read moreI had high hopes for Adlerâs House of Glass, especially being a Black-owned business in the community, but my experience was beyond disappointing. The owner, Charles, sets a terrible example for what leadership should look like. He spoke to his employees with little to no respectârude, dismissive, and borderline demeaning. It was uncomfortable to witness, and honestly, it says a lot about how the business is run.
There was no sense of professionalism, no courtesy, and absolutely no regard for creating a welcoming environment for customers or staff. I expected betterâespecially from a business that should be setting a standard for excellence in the community. Instead, what I saw and experienced was a mess of poor communication, low morale, and an owner who clearly does not value the people working under him.
Support Black-owned businesses, yesâbut support the ones that operate with integrity, dignity, and respect. Sadly, Adlerâs House of Glass is not...
