Mattress Firm Elyria — Attraction in Eaton Township

I ordered a mattress with a sales representative via chat on a Monday. She of course tried to upsell me on 8 additional items. Once I agreed to buy the mattress ONLY, I paid for it and agreed to Friday as the delivery date. I was told that I would be called 24 hours in advance to give me a 2 hour window for delivery. Although I received 7 emails from Mattress Firm trying to get me to buy more stuff, I didn’t hear from anyone regarding the delivery. I didn’t know that there was a Mattress Firm store in Elyria. I called them and spoke to Shawn, who took my information and said he’d get back to me. Within 15 minutes Shawn did call back, upgraded my mattress for the trouble and delivered it two days later. I was pleasantly surprised that a person in a local store was able to make all that happen so quickly. He also didn’t try to sell me anything. This was going to be a 2 star review but Shawn saved it. Im very disappointed. Not in the product but in the breakdown of infornation. Im n9t saying it's the fault of the people at the store here but in the communication between the online site and delivery and the store here. I way told that the base of my bed would arrive between tge 12th abd 14th and the mattress would arive between the 14th and 16th base came but i cound out the next day that the mattress was on their truck also. I adked if theu were going to assemble it today and the delivery person saud no. Then next day we called to find out when they eould deluver the mattress and put it together. I was rold then that they were not gojng yo assemble it but just deliver it. I was disappointed first because i was misinformed, second because they didnt pur it together and especially because I am 70 so this is a real hardshipfor me. Additionally I paid $149for this service. While they reimbursing the assrmbl6fee, I feel like I got railroaded here. So yeah two stars. My wife has stopped in the day before to check out the Purple mattresses and said we had to go back ASAP. She dragged me up the very next morning and we were pleasantly greated by both of the associates. They immediately remembered my wife and began chatting while walking us back to the Purples. Don took us over and went over the different styles and pillows and answered all of my questions with ease. We decided to move forward with ordering what we needed and Don made the whole process a piece of cake, he wasn't pushy and just helped guide us to what we needed. We've gone through a few mattresses over the past few years and we're excited to try this Purple over the next 120 days.
