SCAM! DO NOT SHOP HERE!
We ordered a full furniture set from this place, when our pickup date was coming up we attempted to contact the store to ensure all of our pieces were ready for pickup. We did not hear anything back from anyone at store.
After driving 3.5 hours to pickup our full set of furniture we were informed that the entire set was not available for pickup. Nobody in management was working this day, we were told we be contacted the following day.
After a month has gone by we still have not received our missing piece to our furniture set, nor have even been contacted by anyone at the store. Keep in mind, we did pay full price for this set at the same time we ordered everything.
After multiple phone calls, emails, Facebook messages to the store, without hearing back from anyone it seems that the management at Midwest Home Supply does not have any plans on getting us our furniture. The management here has no problem with treating their customer’s poorly, or at this point dare I say, “stealing” your money.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
Update:
We were offered a discount upon pick up nearly two months later, we picked up the remaining pieces to our set, no manager was available at the time. No discount has...
Read moreI visited this place last night and I just had to share my experience. It is inside the old HOM store, but they haven't taken out a lot of the original fixtures in the store so it is like a dystopian end times store. They basically have bought a bunch of STUFF that other stores were off-loading and put it here. Good that the stuff isn't going to landfills, but seriously, the prices for most things are not any cheaper than you would have found in any retail store. I did find a few items that were a decent price, but have no plans to go back again. You know how furniture stores have all kinds of nooks and crannies? Well, they are still there. It is so strange, and really dark in there. You can get lost, I swear. If they want to get people interested, the prices need to be reduced by about 40 percent. Then the shady atmosphere won't matter, but who wants to shop in such a place and pay the same as in the "nice" stores. Not me, that's for sure. If you have a few hours to waste, check it out. If you are looking for a good price on random stuff, go to Big Lots or Savers and don't...
Read moreMHS is a clearance/fire sale aggregator mapped onto the showrooms of a massive former furniture store. Be prepared to spend a good hour on your first visit exploring as the layout teases yet another room of merchandise beyond each new room you enter until you realize you've gone in a circle. The sheer scale of MHS is impressive. However as you move along you'll find few items at prices that make you forget where that item sits on your want/need scale. The number of novel items they have vs. local retailers makes at least one full trip through the store worthwhile, also making this a must shop when you need a gift for someone. Be sure to spot check prices though to make sure you're getting the bargain you think you are.
6 month p.s. about half the product lines have changed keeping the experience fresh and hunting for new finds rewarding. Came home with a few gifts I hadn't planned on getting plus a bag of things for myself I'm sure I...
