Perfect Nails — Attraction in Eden Prairie

Warning! Do NOT schedule appointment here. We went to perfect nails on 4/9/2022 for my 4 year old daughter's birthday. We called 3 weeks ahead to schedule our group of 4 and was told we would all be able to get in. We checked in on the Ipad and our reservation showed up electronically. We were told to have a seat in the waiting area. My daughter waited patiently and was growing more and more excited as she watched all the people getting their nails painted and looked through the colors. This was the first time she was getting her nails done and she had been talking about it for weeks. After waiting TWENTY minutes one of the techs came up to us and told us whoever we called "forgot to write our names down in the book" and therefore none of us could get our nails done. There was no apology. Since it was the salon's fault I thought they might try to right the situation and offer something. They didn't. just said we could "come back later." I then asked the tech if they could just put polish on my daughter's nails since it was her birthday and she was so excited (already selected colors by this time). They grudgingly agreed. The tech that painted her nails never looked up at her face, did not talk to my daughter at all, never even said "happy birthday". She rushed to paint my daughters nails then just asked for money. I had been going to Perfect Nails in Eden Prairie on and off for the past 4-5 years, but it wasn't until recently that I switched up my entire routine and go there exclusively. I went to get my nails done on my birthday and the technician was so excited I came in! He told me all about my options and explained the similarities and differences between gel and acrylic (I have always had acrylic). I was very impressed with his knowledge of products, but he wasn't pushy or trying to get me to buy the "better" product. The entire way he was chatting with me and asking me questions about how I like the shape of my nail and how short I like them. My nails turned out perfect because of his attention to detail and professionalism! Better yet, the price was right.

I usually do walk in appointments and they have always been able to accommodate me. I have had pedicures here before in the past and everything has been clean and very comfortable.

I was desperate to find a close place to home until I could make my trip to my regular lady. I had high hopes.... started with the lady prying my nails off, not soaking them at all just completely ripping them off from the bed of the nail when they weren’t wanting to come off. Extremely Painful. My skin was filed until it split open and she would dig her finger nails into my skin while filing. Someone else ended up coming to paint them and finish. Turned out with some of the weirdest shaped nails, and they didn’t even fill the whole entire nail with the acrylic so it looks like they have already had time to grow out. I payed $50 dollars plus a tip just to go somewhere else to get them taken off and re done. This is why I choose not to try out random nail salons and go to personal friends instead in the business because at least I know what i’m getting (for way cheaper too.)
