I got eyelash extensions done here, and my entire experience—from the service to the way it was handled afterward—was incredibly disappointing.
Not only were the lashes painful and uncomfortable from the start, but I was also overcharged. I contacted them about the issue, and they said they would process a refund. But when I followed up later, there was no note, no record of any refund being processed, and I had to keep calling back. It took nearly a month before someone finally issued the refund.
When I reached out about the pain I was experiencing, I was told over the phone that “that’s normal,” but then in the same conversation, they admitted it might be because the lashes were placed too close to my eyelids—as if that’s something acceptable. The discomfort didn’t go away—it actually got worse. I ended up pulling the lashes off myself because I couldn’t take the pain anymore. That alone should tell you how bad it was.
A month or so later, a manager or someone in leadership finally emailed me and issued the refund. I had already explained everything—how I was charged incorrectly, how painful the lashes were, how poor the communication was, and how frustrating the entire process became. Instead of showing concern or taking any accountability, the response I got was, “maybe it’s not the right time for gorgeous eyelash extensions,” followed by a salesy “call us anytime” and a discount offer. The subject of the email was titled “OK, maybe we can just be friends” and the message ended with “we’ll be waiting”—like this was all a joke or lighthearted situation.
It was frustrating, dismissive, and honestly disrespectful. I wasn’t looking for a coupon—I wanted someone to acknowledge that what happened was not okay. I didn’t remove the lashes because I changed my mind—I removed them because they were hurting me. This whole experience was very telling.
If everything had been handled professionally and with some level of care or understanding, I promise I would have considered coming back. But their lack of accountability, poor communication, and the way they brushed everything off tells me all I need to know. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone who expects quality service—or basic professionalism—especially when something goes wrong.
Edit: that’s the email you couldn’t find...
Read moreI have never written a review before but I felt like I had to for this experience. I have never been treated this careless before at a place providing service. Initially I loved my experience at Amazing Lash in Edina (I even drove 30 minutes to go here). Until I started going to different stylists (as my regular one was always booked) & developed an eye infection. I was told I had to remove my lashes due to the infection & was fine with this as I assumed it was not the studio's fault I developed the infection... When the lash stylist told me I needed to get my lashes removed, she was completely rude, showed no empathy, and gave no advice on how to go about the situation.
She offered no information on how to help my infection and wouldn't even give me a straight answer on how long I should wait until I could get them back on. I even asked if I could wear makeup after removing them and she didn't have an answer for me?! I also asked what would happen to my membership considering I wouldn't be doing lashes for a while, and they offered no plan to pause my membership (told me I HAD to cancel). They showed zero interested in enticing me to resume my membership when my infection went away & my lashes were ready to go back on. Just showed me they obviously did not care about my experience or providing any type of customer service.
The next day I called and asked to speak to a manager to get answers on how to go about fixing my lashes/eventually get a new pair. The manager was "unavailable" and my questions were again answered in a very uneducated, non-helpful way. All I wanted was an educated answer on how to fix my lashes and POSSIBLY continue using their services. On top of that, the manager called me back only AFTER leaving a poor review,. Due to their poor customer service and lack of professionalism, I will not be going back. My advice is finding somewhere less expensive with better...
Read moreThe studio is cute but I wish I would have done more research into lash extensions before getting them.
I wasn’t impressed with the customer service or scheduling, the gal was tough to work with because she pushed really hard for me to sign up for the rewards program despite me saying I don’t want to until I’ve tried the lashes. She seemed a little absent minded as she messed up my name and the dates I was trying to make the appointment for several times throughout the conversation. It took 30 min to schedule a patch test and extension appointment because of this.
The appointment itself was good, I was in the waiting room for a little longer because the woman working the front desk (also the woman I assumed I made the appointment with) told the gal doing the lashes that I was in the bathroom, which I wasn’t so i ended up waiting about 25 min before my appointment started.
The lashes were cute. I did really like them while I had them. I followed the care directions spot on and after 48 hours to the hour I washed my face with oil free cleaner and they started to fall out out, taking my own lashes with them. Now 6 days after getting them, all of the extensions are gone and my natural lashes look like spider legs on my lid. Not blaming amazing lash studio, I think my skin reacted to the glue or something but I feel so gross now and really regret getting them in the first place.
So if you get lashes, look into it. They look stunning for a day or two but as I have stringy and patchy lashes now, I really wish I would have looked more into the glue and asked more questions about...
