Edina Liquor - Southdale — Local services in Edina

I personally will never shop here again primarily because of the incredibly rude way I saw a cashier speaking to and treating a Black customer who was being very polite and hadn’t done anything to deserve that kind of treatment. While I was paying for my items, the Black customer simply asked where the Cristal bottles were. The cashier launched into a tirade of “you’ll have to wait”,”can’t you see I’m serving a customer”,”there are three people in front of you” etc etc. The Black customer at no point demanded immediate service or tried to jump the line - he simply asked where the Cristal bottles were! I feel bad for not speaking up for him but didn’t want to make the situation worse for him after I left the store. I’m not spending another penny here. Another reviewer hints at racial profiling he experienced at this store too. Take your money to Total Wine just down the street...

Bait and Switch. Visited today and saw some really good prices on liquor and wine. Had hang tags that had the discounted prices. So, I selected some of those wines and liquor items. Then was shocked to find. at the cash register, that I was charged the full list price and was given some coupons and copies of my receipts to send to company that made the wine or liquor. Some 'discount'.

I never trust that kind of coupon, since I've found they seem to get 'lost' and I don't really get my refund. Plus, it's work on my part, when I assumed the discount would happen at the register.

Pick another liquor store where the prices are honestly shown.

4 stars since most are nice but kinda pesty. Not sure because they might think I'm going to steal being a minority and don't look like I'm Edina. I'm going to guess they got in trouble for not asking for ID because I actually got carded for the first time and it would figure I left it at work. Whatever, but I said simply I don't have it and I get it it's the rule, he then got snarky with me as I'm trying to be sneaky and get liquor underage. I guess he was prepared for me to say mean things so that's how he prepares to treat people. There are plenty of other liquor...
