I came around 2pm on a Saturday and it was fairly busy, but there were still a few places to sit outside -- though since this is connected to the mall, there's always plenty of seating inside if needed. It felt a lot more like a stereotypical cafe with people working and chatting than other cafes I've tried, so if you're into that vibe you can get that here. It's a bit more modern and sterile feeling on the inside though, so don't go in expecting an old-style cozy cafe.
The lady at the register was kind and helpful when it came to answering my questions about their offerings. The prices were about the same as other cafe's I've been to, so with tip and tax a small latte came out to like $7...
I got one of their seasonal offerings of the blueberry lilac latte iced. Honestly, I didn't really taste much of the blueberry? There was just the tiniest flavor of it on top of the coffee. I thought it was pretty good, but not the best I've had.
They didn't have any unsweetened flavorings (their flavorings are apparently made in house, which I thought was cool though), and their milks didn't have any low sugar options, so if you're on the look out for that maybe go elsewhere. They sell bags of coffee beans for Dogwood and some other local roastery I don't remember the name of, but when asked about they apparently have their own personal type of beans that they don't sell, which I thought was a little weird? Seems like shouldn't they advertise and sell the beans they use instead of other random companies? It didn't bother me much, but I thought it was...
Read moreLast few visits disappointed. Today at 12 Noon Edina was sold out of everything offered on the menu except avocado toast. The young woman talked as she was putting labels on orange juice, unapologetically, explaining they usually sell out by now. A nice young man helped me settle for a scone and coffee. A woman and her elderly mother, with a walker, left because of the menu. They also had to go back out in the rain because no mall entrance. I was meeting someone who had already settled on the avocado toast or I would have left. Sadly, this location also does not have a restroom. We may try again in...
Read moreIt’s the American version of the Korean bakery. Everything is fattening and slightly disappointing or if you call disgusting to eat. Rustica has been around for a while but they kind of stopped doing their hand made pastries that are least there was a concept behind it. It’s like the Lunds & Byerlys model these days. Maybe that’s who owns it and use a different name. It’s a great location next to Southdale mall but the place is busy so this might all make sense. It’s like a Coffeeshop with pastries and cookies or sweets. I would only go here if I’m desperate. It’s like a more beefed...
