Today, April 19th, 2023, I was told by this Manger Angie to take my Type 1 Diabetic daughter out to the car to treat a low. We had to treat the low with pop and fruit snacks. I was told that I could only treat her with the food they had for sale at the concession stand. She told me I needed to buy something from SkyZone to treat my daughter’s medical condition. I proceeded to fix my daughter’s glucose and told Angie to get a different manger. She told me again to take my daughter outside to my car to treat her low glucose.
10 or so minutes later the other manager comes out. I told the manager that I wasn’t going to continue to discuss this with Angie. They both laughed and mocked me. Angie walked away. Grace the other manager said she would have been fine with the pop to treat my daughter’s glucose but she is not ok with food to treat her glucose. Again…. This isn’t about what you feel or what you are ok with. This is about my daughter’s life! She said she was going to ask me to leave because I wasn’t following directions. She said she was going to call the police because I didn’t follow directions. I told her to go ahead. My daughter is protected by ADA. I asked her to write it down for me. I was mocked and told no.
I went and sat back down to watch my children. Angie and Grace proceeded to tell the other guests that they are sorry that my I am there. They continued to talk to staff. I asked staff their names and they said don’t give it to her. Which they did but they became even more vulgar with me.
I am shocked that SkyZone would allow these two ladies to work at this corporation. Here is another incident with Angie. Clearly she needs professional development.
Telling my Type 1 Diabetic to go outside to the car to treat a low is unacceptable. The treatment we received tonight is something no parent should ever go through.
I am devoted to change this for Type 1 at SkyZone. A family might be at risk for this same treatment and their child’s life could be at risk. Horrible experience and horrible customer service on top of it. We purchased the mega vip package for my daughter’s birthday. (It costs over 450 with tax) and when we get there, ON TIME. (12) I was told we wouldn’t have a party room until 2 hours AFTER children have jumped. Personally I feel it’s ridiculous pay 450 for a three hour party to only have a room for an hour. But it was stated online. my issue was that we did not get the room at the time we made the reservation. With common sense I would ASSUME, you’d get the hour of party room when you book. (so just beware you’ll have to jump BEFORE the room time) regardless I would be able to just let it go, except they never once stated we wouldn’t have the room until after jumping so we had food delivered and had to eat it in the common area, and if that wasn’t bad enough we had a MANAGER come up to us and tell us we could not have outside food (even though it’s included with the VIP package.) luckily I was not there when he had come up to the table but my mother was and she was very upset since she again had called before hand and we were never told we wouldn’t have the room at the time booked and to make it worse we had a child with special needs in our party having a meltdown down and my mother had told the manager that we were frustrated we did not have a room and the MANAGER responded “and is that our fault?” He had no regard to our feelings what so ever. (Btw is it was their fault, they should have explained the party schedule better, otherwise I would have not gotten the mega, I would have just gotten the cheap birthday package and called it a day.) so please be aware before making a birthday party with them!!! It’s truly not worth the money or hassle. (Or customer service)
