Worst service ever. I waited for over 45 minutes for a DoorDash order. The people in front of me were stuck waiting for ice cream they ordered online. It’s embarrassing for them since headquarters is blocks away. They are extremely understaffed which is unfortunate. The worker would yell out the order numbers so aggressively almost as if she were releasing her anger out. One worker was just standing around not taking orders and was turned away but clearly on her phone, but started making a blizzard and gave it to who appeared to be her mom. So she was able to prepare her own food but not take any orders or help prepare anything. I work as a DoorDasher and they didn’t properly bag anything, they stuffed everything in a bag and handed me the receipt, usually it comes sealed with a sticker and with the order receipt stapled to the bag. This is required for properly delivery to ensure the bag is sealed. What drove me over the edge is that when I went to pour the drink, they were out of lids and I waited to ask for more but she ignored me and wouldn’t acknowledge that I needed help and acted like she didn’t hear me. I was stuck waiting yet again. At this point I’m losing money and losing ratings. I gave up and I had to go to the nearest gas station and use MY OWN MONEY to buy a the drink they couldn’t provide since they couldn’t help me with a lid. I needed that drink or else I would get penalized for forgetting part of the order to deliver. As I was leaving she announces to the line of customers waiting that they are stopping taking orders. So many people waiting in line we’re all turned down after almost half an hour of waiting. They claimed that they “tried to lock the door” to stop letting people come in but that it didn’t lock properly. Embarrassment of a store. Dairy Queen, no better. Corporate is minutes away. I also recognize that these workers are overworked and probably don’t make a lot to be dealing with corporate’s mess of not hiring enough people. Seriously, I encourage the workers to quit and work somewhere better like...
Read moreCame here for a dessert with my partner after dinner, as dairy queen always satisfies. We went inside, and it was obvious from the start things were a little disheveled, but oh well, I worked for over a decade in food service, and things can get a little hectic.
The individual taking our order seemed to be in training, and received little to no guidance from others. There were around 10 employees, but there seemed to be not a single person in charge. The girls making the ice cream orders seemed more worried about goofing off, complaining, or chatting in general than paying any attention to what they were doing.
There was no one paying attention to the orders being put up, so things were left to melt.
My partner recieved his blizzard, and I was waiting on my simple chocolate dipped cone. After a few minutes, it seemed to be that they had forgotten about it. I stood towards the counter waiting to get someone's attention, and the cashier walked up to talk to one of the others, and she loudly asked him "what's he waiting on?" In a very rude way, like I was an inconvenience, then looked at me and asked the same. I stated I was waiting on my cone, and she looked annoyed.
She put it up on the order counter a few moments later, which frankly is unsanitary since the bottom of the cone is exposed. I was waiting for another employee to come by so they could grab it, but then the same individual looked and me and stated "well come get it". Overall she was extremely rude.
Frankly this all seems to be due to a lack of leadership at this establishment. There was no one setting the tone or making sure the store was running smoothly. I hope that the franchisee or corporate invests in more leaders for this store, because from my experience and previous reviews, its obvious that its...
Read moreI’ve never written a Google review before, but the ridiculous experience I had at this DQ location needs to be shared. Last night, my sister and I ordered the $7 meal deal and upgraded to Blizzards. They tried to charge us $2.59 for the upgrade, even though upgrading to a Blizzard is only $2. They kept trying to overcharge us until I pulled up a former online order that showed $9 total for an upgraded meal deal. My sister got her meal immediately after ordering. It was in a to-go container (when we were dining in), and it wasn’t warm. This makes me think that they already had this pre-made in the back, potentially for another order. My meal took about 10 minutes to come out, but at least it was warm.
The worst part of this experience was the Blizzard. We had indicated that we’d like to have our Blizzards made later. When we returned to the counter with our receipts, we were presented with melted Blizzards that were running over the sides. The workers told us they had been in the FRIDGE - no wonder they were melted! At every other DQ location I’ve been to, they make the Blizzard fresh when you return to the counter. The workers then asked us if we wanted the Blizzards re-made. Of course we did, and that shouldn’t have even been a question.
The attached picture is the second iteration of the Blizzard, and it was still runny. I’ve been to this location twice, and both times they did not flip the Blizzard over. If they had flipped over any of the Blizzards they made for this order, they would have made a huge mess all over the counter.
I’m incredibly disappointed about the quality of service and food at this location, especially since it’s close to corporate. For anyone looking to go to DQ, head to any other location...
