As others have mentioned, it's a bare bones operation. The next door neighbor is currently doing construction and it's anything but peaceful. The construction noises overpowered the instrumental music and seemed about to break the wall at any time.
Massage itself was pretty good, I feel a little looser afterwards. I would say that most of the movements felt good, but about 30% of them felt half hearted, just going through the motions. The hot stones felt nice and the towels and sheets smelled clean but not overpowering.
I was able to pay by card, but the price on the website when I made my appointment was $80 for a 90 minute massage and $90 at the time of payment. When my card was run, I'm not sure if the person actually didn't know how to run the machine or not but I was charged $96.30. I was not informed of credit card fees ahead of time with a card payment.
I left a $20 tip in cash and my card was held hostage as a 30% tip was attempted to be obtained. I got my card back without the $10 extra since I didn't have additional cash and refused to have my card run again. If this last interaction hadn't happened, I probably would have kept this at a 4 star review since it's only a dollar per minute even at the...
Read moreToday is my birthday and I decided to gift myself with a massage. The lady in front was so rude.. she wanted me to pay for my massage before I received it. That's fine, no problem. However, as I'm reaching in my purse to get the money she says, "You must leave tip now at least $30." Her tone and the fact that she would demand this offended me. I told her usually you tip after your services. Not to mention if it was a good massage, I may tip 100 or $200 who's to say. She even said this is a different kind of business you don't understand. I don't know what that means, but for her to tell me that and demand a tip now and it must be at least $30 was beyond me. I then told her that today was my birthday and the only gift I wanted to give myself was relaxation and so I booked a massage that I no longer wanted. So I left and I was upset. It took everything in me not to cry once I got inside my car because all I wanted for my birthday was a massage and I didn't appreciate the way she made me feel. Her tone and the way she spoke to me just made me not want to spend my money there. I'll never try again at this location. Almost ruined...
Read moreNot great, I kept having to tell her what to do. And then they have the nerve to tell you how much to tip. For a 60 dollar massage they want a 20 dollar tip and they will not let you leave unless you pay them that, I was tipping them $15 in cash and they said we charge $20 for 60 mins and $10 for 30 mins. They will take it out of your card. I have never had a massage place tell me they charge you for tip and demand to take it out of your card. If you want a quite place- don’t go here- the entire time I heard conversations from another man and his masseuse next door, my masseuse was also talking to the other masseuse and she also answered the phone in the middle of my massage. It was not relaxing at all. The demanding for tip blew my mind.
I also see that other clients have complained on this as well, and the owner responds saying they will take necessary actions BUT looks like that is the generic response and NOTHING is...
