My experience at this venue was a combination of both outstanding and extremely disappointing moments. While there were some positives, the behavior of certain staff members was simply deplorable!.
The Positive: First and foremost, I must commend Carly, our waiter, who is a student at Rutgers. She provided exceptional service when we ordered food at the axe-throwing area. Carly was not only friendly and personable, but also very professional. Her service made our experience much more enjoyable, and she truly deserves recognition for her efforts. In fact, I believe she must be rewarded with a salary increase based on the quality of her work.
I would also like to acknowledge the Karting Track manager on duty around 2:50 PM on 9/21 (I apologize, but I do not recall her name). She was professional and friendly, and when an issue arose, she immediately took action to resolve it. Her efforts were appreciated, and she made a positive impact on our visit.
The Negative: Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the behavior of some of the staff, which was entirely unprofessional and very, very rude. While we were enjoying our food, the lone staff member working the axe-throwing area approached us with a completely unacceptable attitude. He rudely demanded that we “MOVE” without any explanation. When we inquired as to why, he repeated the command in the exact same aggressive tone, stating that other people were coming and we needed to vacate the area. This was completely uncalled for, especially considering that there were around 10-11 other open lanes available. We were not blocking anyone, and there was no reason for such hostility. We would have gladly moved if there was a valid reason, but the way this staff member handled the situation was absolutely disrespectful.
The situation continued to decline when I participated in a race. Car #88, (whose name I will not publish) repeatedly rammed my car throughout the entire track in a manner that seemed intentional and malicious. I understand that racing can involve some bumps here and there, but this was excessive and completely unnecessary. To make matters worse, my car suddenly stalled in the middle of the track, and two employees simply stood there, watching me. No effort was made to assist me or even check if I was okay. It was clear that they could not care less.
Finally, after the race, another staff member approached me and yelled in my face, demanding that I remove my helmet. I fully understand that it can be loud at the karting track, but there was absolutely no reason for him to shout at me in such an aggressive manner. He could have simply asked me to remove the helmet politely, but instead, he chose to scream at me, which was both unnecessary and unpleasant.
When I spoke to the Karting Track manager about these issues, she did her best to address the situation and make it right. However, the overall experience was tarnished by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff.
Conclusion: While the venue has some standout employees like Carly and the Karting Track manager, the overall service is severely lacking due to certain staff members who displayed an appalling lack of courtesy and professionalism. If the venue wants to retain customers and improve their reputation, they must address these serious issues with staff behavior. I would consider returning, but only if I knew that the staff would treat me with the respect I deserve.
I honesty believe I am due a 100% refund ( and yes, I know I signed the waiver that their...
Read moreMy family of four went to Supercharged Entertainment to celebrate two birthdays. In appearance, it is an impressive place. However, it seems like they have kinks to work out. They were only running track one for racing the majority of the time despite having at least 2 tracks resulting in over an hour wait for racers. We opted not to race due to price and the wait time. The arcade had several games out of order despite being a newer facility, including a vr game with broken head gear. It was a Tuesday, so the games were 1/2 price, which let us really stretch the cards that we got for game play. That was nice. They have a decent selection of games, including pin ball. They also have a neat drop style ride and bionic bumper cars, both of which you can use your game card on. It is good to note that the games that award immediate prizes are not part of the 1/2 off Tuesday promotion. They have ax throwing and a pub on the 2nd floor along with more games. The pub looks nice and offers a decent elevated menu. However, the service and the noise do not match the atmosphere they tried to create. We were seated next to the track, and the squealing of the cars was quite a lot to tolerate and kept us from relaxing. The server was extremely lazy and not well trained. The prices are quite high, and it's good to note that they ask for a credit card up front even if you plan to pay your bill in cash. That was not mentioned anywhere online, nor did the staff mention it until we started ordering our food. It was off-putting. Our $22 milkshakes were served with regular drink straws that were biodegradable and broke immediately after trying to take one sip. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our server to stop socializing with other servers to come check on us and admit that spoons were best for the shakes. Yeah.. not well thought out. The shakes were quite good, though, when we did get to eat them. Our soon to be 13 year old who was part of the dual birthday celebration ordered the birthday shake, and it was supposed to have a candle but did not. Others who ordered it got the candle. We got the bacon appetizer and mac and cheese bites. Both were good, but maybe not $15 for 5 slices of bacon good. Overall, we were disappointed with the service but enjoyed the food even if it was a bit pricey. The redemption center for tickets was clean, organized, and offered a decent selection, though things were quite marked up. 1,800 tickets for a small plush toy, for example. It was a good one-time experience for us, but it definitely does not warrant a...
Read moreCould have been 5 stars but the restaurant dropped the ball thank goodness for KATIE because she saved the day!
Drove over an hour from long Island on a friday night. If you plan on coming on the weekend definitely make a reservation online ahead of time if they'll let you because it is definitely the hangout.
large parking lot which they seem to be extending which is good because this place is only going to get more popular.
They make you wait outside which in the cold is not fun but it's worth the wait. I had to use the restroom while we waited and they let me in to use the restroom, it was clean which I liked.
They have a variety of games which is cool, my son who is 8 really enjoyed the air hockey table and the giant pacman game. I didn't see skee ball, they should definitely get that if they don't have it.
Okay the bad part... We ate at the restaurant... I became upset because I've managed restaurants in the past and maybe it's unfair of me because I expect myself out of every restaurant that I go to... I was seated with my son, and we waited for 20 minutes before someone came to speak to us to tell us she would get our server..
It wasn't the time that made me upset it was the fact that our assigned server spoke to 3 other tables that sat down after us before coming over to us. I know how it is a mother and her son, check won't be big so tip won't be big... umm... you never know who you're serving! The proper thing to do would have been stop by and say "hello, i see you I will be with you in one moment."
I requested Katie to serve us. She was the only person to speak to us during our waiting period. She was literally the sweetest! She made sure that we were okay, she put our food down and came back to check to make sure it tasted good. She gave quality service!!!!!!!! She kept apologizing and I made sure she knew it was okay and it wasn't her fault that we were pushed aside by our previous server. It just kind of stunk because the reason we were sitting there was because my son was too small to drive so we wanted to enjoy some good food while my husband and our friends drove.
The food was good though!!! The wings were slammin the mozzarella sticks were slammin and so...
