Update: I did win the dispute with my credit card company. Their response is a complete lie. I never ordered the wrong dish. I never ordered anything that had curry or that was yellow. I also never hung up on anyone as most of the conversation was via text with me sending pics of what they advertise on Google vs what dish was received. The two dishes are completely different. It's bad enough that they falsely advertise a dish and do not stand by pics on one of their ordering sites, but it's significantly worse knowing that they then respond with lies. I have pics of everything, including text conversations which is why my credit card company ruled the dispute in my favor. Not only will I never order here again and I live very close by, I will also never recommend their restaurant and I give dining recommendations all the time as I work part time on the weekends at a local hotel. Be very wary of this establishment.
Absolutely horrible, I didn't want to believe the bad reviews as this place is right around the corner from my job and we send many ppl there because it's close and walkable, despite the bad reviews. I've even had complaints from our customers about their food, but today I decided to order. The food looks nothing like the picture on Google and my Thai Lemongrass Stone Pot Rice showed up with curry on it and no veggies. Since when is lemongrass yellow? Even if you Google random Thai Lemongrass Stone Pot Rice images, nothing looks like what I was given and all images have veggies on it. I will post pics of what I ordered vs what they gave me. The worst part is after texting the customer service lady there numerous pics she continued to argue with me saying that there are no pics on their website. I ordered from Google and there are pics all over there under their menu and business name. Don't get mad at the customer for where you promote your business as you took my money and order from that same site, but now want to argue that this is not your site. Make it make sense. On their actual direct site there is no pic or even a description of the food. How is it the customers fault that Google is where I placed my order based on the pics and they took my money and now want to claim the pics do not belong to their business ? If it's not your site then give me my money back and take the food back. Their argument makes zero sense. I do not eat curry and didn't want anything that looks yellow or what they gave me. I'm disgusted at this first impression. I will never send another customer there as their lack of desire to fix the issue was far worse than the initial screw up. Not one of their stone pot items shows a pic with anything yellow on it. I will dispute with my bank and throw the food away. I should have just got Thai Food from Phatra Thai as I would have been happier and satisfied. Do not order from them or waste your money. Phatra Thai in Metuchen has way better food and stand by their pictures to at least give an idea as to what is on their menu items. Google this place if you do not believe that they have pics on almost every menu item. The manager then called me and was highly disrespectful and continued to argue saying maybe the pic came from another place. Umm, then how did you get my order sir and take my money/credit card with my online order from this site? Never again! Stay away? I also called to make sure my food was ready before pick up and the lady asked me if I wanted to add egg, I said "sure". Then she tells me it's $2.00 more as if they are working in a nail salon with the upsell tactics. I did get the egg added but can't eat that either as everything has curry on it and my office stinks like curry too. No wonder they have...

Read moreThis place is really really busy, I have pulled into the parking lot and not been able to park sometimes. It is decorated with traditional art from all around malaysia. when you walk in it looks like youre transported back to a village over there. They have a sushi bar, but dont serve sushi anymore. the items on the menu are predominantly malaysian, thai and chinese. most of the staff who work in that palce are either chinese-malaysian, chinese or indonesian. some speak english very well, some speak it poorly.
The food quality is very high, and the prices are somewhat lower than the rest of the places I've been to in nyc or philly or harrisburg. It seems like they take a lot of time to prepare the quality of the food, they want it to look like a work of art.
I have been to this restaurant several times. I can kind of agree with many of the things that other people had said prior to me. no getting refills on water, slow service. I waited at the cash register to pay for about 10 minutes once.
I can surely attest to the being bullied into higher priced dishes. but that is not an uncommon practice. A lot of ethnic restaurants do that, especially east asian places. they "suggest" something that tastes better that i will like (even though they dont know me from adam tilao) that just happens to be 5 dollars more expensive than the prior item i was looking at.
On one occasion I asked that my food be packaged for me to take home, I swear out of everything on my plate they threw away the rice and small portion of curry chicken and just gave me the fried noodles.
The staff likes you to wait 5 times longer than you're used to but oh well, the food is what its all about. plus if that does happen to you, just start a chit-chat conversation with the table next to you.... about how long they've...
