Cascadia Art Museum — Attraction in Edmonds

This is a MUST SEE gem of a museum. The exhibits that I saw there today had fantastic works by artists that I’d not seen other places. There was a great variety in the pieces on display but almost all shared one characteristic—they were terrific. In fact, they were so good that I even liked the ones that I didn’t like.

Anyone who loved the Pacific Northwest is going to want to visit here. Anyone who loves art is going to want to visit here, too. And if you love both, well, this is Heaven.

I visited solo and use a mobility device. The two glass doors to enter the building are not equipped with door openers. Then two more sets of heavy glass doors similarly un-equipped. I had to wait for assistance. Quite demoralizing and off putting although the staff were pleasant enough about it. Beautiful exhibit. Perhaps they can get a grant to improve this situation.
