This is a wonderful park for us walkers, but it is also an underwater park. Its interesting to see divers on their way to the underwater park. I have seen them preparing to go in, have seen them in the water and coming out with all the equipment which children find so fascinating. Yes there are people there but everyone is engrossed in their own thing. Some are minding their children, others enjoy walking on the beach, some read all the plaques, oh and then there are the lovers, and the ferry's, the icecream shops in the summer, and coffee shops near by. Read moreNice big open beach area to play. Not crowded so you're not RIGHT next to complete strangers. The water is very cold but it is Puget Sound. No shell or rock collecting allowed, which is new for me but I understand it. There's an ice cream place right by the beach so you can smell ice cream cones baking. Faucet available to wash off after playing in the sand and salt water. Elevated area behind the beach has benches to sit and enjoy the view without being in the sand and water. Very nice place to spend a relaxing time at the beach and let...
