This theatre used to be owned by someone else OBVIOUSLY before it became AMC. We were so excited all morning to come early and play some air hockey (they have 2 tables), and enjoy Cesar in War for the Planet of the Apes. From the jump we were told to go in another line from everyone else if not "premiere", I did like an idiot. 10 mins later got back in the I was in to buy our tickets and was offered the "free premiere" tickets. Smh. Two token machines, non working but will take your quarters. Can only use tokens for games tho...needless to say, both my children got tears in their eyes because they could see the arcade and not play a single game. Many signs posted to let you know, 'staff is not responsible for reimbursement of any kind'.
On to concession where I tried to cheer them up with some snacks. No pretzels started the tears again. And then I realized this is not Carmike theaters but AMC. Smdh. A box of chips with a cup of cheese. Thats nachos. There's candy, $6 hot dogs and popcorn. Oh and all the jalapenos you want. Thats it for snacks.
This is the worst experience I've ever had with my children and couldn't do a thing about it. I wanted to get a refund when the arcade was a bust buy my kids really wanted to see this movie. I went through this experience that I can only wish on my worst enemy. Just horrible.
The guy that sold me tickets and concession ladies were professional as could be expected and friendly. The great big lady with 2 braids & bald headed guy were world class jerks and need a class on how to treat people in a movie theater. The staff was great besides you two.
I worked at this theater years ago and have been bringing my kids here for awhile. I will never comeback to this place again. I will be telling everyone I know to go anywhere else. This was a waste of my money. How freaking disappointing. Great movie but I will watch my movies somewhere else, even if...
Read moreThis movie theater offers the latest films in Dolby Digital. The smaller screens are usually less crowded. There are showings for older films and popular children's flicks during the day time, during the week.
The management is very cooperative and cashiers proactively advocate for membership to the Carmike Rewards program, where you can earn points from ticket purchases and snacks. The ROI is obvious after the first couple visits, generating a free popcorn or small soda. It's well worth the additional 3 minutes it takes to activate it while at the POS counter.
The annual bucket is worth the investment if purchased in the first 6 months of the year or you live in the area. Tuesday's are considered the most cost effective days to visit the theater, with showings for popular films and 5.00 tickets (regardless of the timeframe for the movie) and $2.00 drinks, popcorn and select snacks for $3.00.
I've only had one severely negative incident in the last couple years that I have frequented this cinema. The poor experience involved my usual purchase and then with popcorn and soda in hand, I accidentally forgot my cellphone on the counter. When I reached the auditorium I realized it was missing. I went back to the counter where I made my purchase and it was no longer there, nor was the cashier. When this was reported, it took an hour and a threat to involve the police, to ensure the device (used for work purposes) was returned. The manager on a follow up visit confirmed the cashier was dishonest and intentionally took the phone. She was dismissed and the manager provided admission to a free movie for a friend and I. Other minor incidents have included cashiers miscalculating the cost of a refill on my annual bucket (which should only cost $4.00). These issues were addressed immediately, when the cashiers realized...
Read moreThis my last time coming here. This place is rude . We came to see the new movie Breaking In, when we arrived it was only one cashier. The other cashier was counting her draw. Which is understandable, but when finally was able to get out tickets. My husband ask the cashier which seats where higher, away from the screen. She then replied with “A”. Which was a lie. I stood in the line for nachos and candy. For literally 8 mins. One man counting a draw. Two others standing there. One finally got done ringing somebody up and walks off like I wasn’t standing there. He then start a conversation with somebody else like I still wasn’t standing there. Some customers had the membership an they had just walk up. The manager told the other guy to get on the register. He gets on there an calls them. Over, like I wasn’t standing there for that long. Regardless who had the membership are not I had already been standing there for about 7 mins now. Finally the young man gets done counting his draw and calls me over. When then ask another working for some peppers with the nachos. Only thing he was doing was acting like he was rearranging the candy in the front. He going to tell my husband tell the cashier. Which it was only one cashier at this time (the young man who took my order). An he had a line. Nobody was trying to help him. The young lady who lied about the seats. More customers in up coming in and was like they had the same seats. The whole time she didn’t know which seats were at the top and at the bottom. So, we had to move from our seats to seats that was at the very front of the theater. Please train your employees better. An the rude ones get rid off them....
