You cannot count on this Ulta Hair Salon. Ruined my hair. I have been a Redken fan for many years but this salon does not have the best trained hair color experts. I'm 41 and no hair salon has ever ruined my hair like this hair salon. Follow your instincts when something feels off. I had 2 hair color appointments back to back in a span of 3 weeks and the results were not what you expect from a standard hair salon. I did see the Regional Hair Color Director but he also gave me hot roots. That's a first ever for me. Ulta hair salons in LA are a joke and a disgrace in the region. I have attended many ISSE events and have been a hair model many times at this event, I am a beauty consultant for high end brands in LA, OC, and San Diego, and trust me this is the worst hair salon experience I've ever had. I can do my own hair color way better with Sally's Ion hair color line. Monrovia and Mission Valley Ulta did a great job with my hair but El Segundo has always been a bad experience from Customer Service to Hair Salon experience. You are my closest Ulta, a 7 minute drive. Bye Ulta to many beauty stores and hair salons in the area to pick from. Note: Hair color kept coming out from my hair after 3 washes in a timeframe of a week and a half. A lot of color. My roots were dyed lighter twice by the Color Expert and Regional Director. That makes no sense and it looks horrible. I'm supposed to trust you because of your salon...
Read moreSo I went to Ulta today in search of some eyebrow gel. Upon entering I noticed that the store was almost completely empty. There might have been six customers including 7 employees. Therefore I assumed I would receive good service. Unfortunately, I was wrong. First off, the employees were all bunched up in one corner of the store talking amongst themselves. Their backs were turned to the rest of the store. I went up too two of them with there backs turned to me and had to say excuse me three times before they turned around. They looked disgusted by my presence so I said very politely "if you aren't too busy can you help me find some eyebrow gel?" One of them responded to me in a very rude tone saying that he was busy at the moment. He could have pointed me to another worker to assist me or asked his friend he was talking to too help me. There were many ways he could have reponed that would have been more professional. Instead, he responded in a rude tone and turned his back to me right away. Considering there were more employees than customers in the store and I still couldn't get eyebrow gell says a lot. I walked out immediately considering it was obvious I was not a so-called...
Read moreWow. Talk about incompetent. I came here today which is the last day of the Back-to-MAC program to donate all my empty or expired MAC products. 2 employees had no idea that they even participated in the program. They called their manager over who told me it's the last day for the program. Duh, that's why I'm here. She let me know I can only trade in the empties for lipstick. Okay, so I go to grab my 4 lipsticks (trading in 24 containers). She looks at my containers and tells me that they need to be empty and my containers still had product in them. So I told her that I think when they say empty, it doesn't mean literally. And she exclaimed "I know what they mean, but they're strict with us that it needs to be empty." I have worked for MAC previously, as well as Macy's and Nordstrom so I’m very familiar with their policy on the program. She snapped at me "I'll just do it because it's the last day." Um, okay. I literally have never had any push back for their recycling program before and this manager literally makes me never want to frequent this Ulta again. She was rude and condescending and just...
