Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is bougie ice cream. Like Jeni's or Salt & Straw. At $7.45 per cone for 1 flavor. But as all of the spots listed, this is quality ice cream and worth every penny. Van Leeuwen is located in the heart of The Point in El Segundo. You'll find them in the center next to Simzy's and Kendra Scott area. You can order at the counter and then sit in the patio seating area with tables & chairs or Adirondacks. Honestly, there are tons of places to sit around The Point. Or take a nice walk enjoying your ice cream. Been dying to try the Mango Sticky Rice ice cream since it saw Whole Foods selling the pints. Unfortunately, it was sold out when I went to look for it. We are visiting from out of town and The Point is one of our fave spots to hang out with the kids and our big families. After we got dinner, we had to get ice cream. I was super stoked when we were at The Point earlier in the week and saw Van Leeuwen had Mango Sticky Rice on the menu. Unfortunately at the time, I was full and couldn’t eat anything else. Ha. So here we were again and I saved room for dessert. Funny thing is Jennifer helped me when we stopped by the first time to get a sample and she was there again when we came back. I recognized her and told her she helped me previously. Jennifer was great and so friendly. The Mango Sticky Rice flavor was super smooth, creamy with fresh mango flavors and a hint of coconut to give it that mango sticky rice essence. It’s so good. My daughter got the Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie and my son got plain vanilla with a request to add maraschino cherries. Van Leeuwen had the fancy maraschino cherries, I think these are the cherries you serve in fancy cocktails. He was not happy with that as he likes the bright fake colored red maraschino cherries they get in Shirley Temples. Lol. I scooped out the cherries and ate some of the ice cream with the cherry residue on it and he was fine. Hahaha. They have so many unique flavors. I love these bougie ice cream spots with the different flavor options. Keep up the good work! Great location for ice cream being around so many restaurants and a perfect spot with families hanging out all day long. Good score Van Leeuwen!

Never been to this ice cream spot or this shopping center in general but after this experience I'd come back. Several flavors sounded pretty decent but the gf & I just went with the 2 scoop to share. Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Chunk & Green Tea. I was close the getting that Pumpkin Cheese cake, cuz you know those fall vibes. Both flavors had a good creamy texture & I appreciated the flavor of each. The green tea flavor was quite strong & just tasted "different" than I've had at most other places. I feel like maybe it tasted a little roasted. I'm quite the fan of the Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Chunk. At first bite I was a little, "meh" but once you get everything (including walnuts) it's actually a really good flavor & the textural components are much appreciated. The brown sugar flavor comes off somewhat "caramely", "toasty", "roasty", etc. Service was friendly enough & there was just a small line on a Sunday afternoon. They are located in The Point shopping mall more towards the center of it. I noticed they have vegan flavor's, bars, & pint take home options available. My real complaint is you're not really getting the best value here. It both wasn't the biggest portion I've received for a two scoop portion & wasn't the cheapest as well. Basically $8 for the 2 scoops before tip. I'm open to trying some more flavors out here if/when I'm back in The Point shopping mall.

Van Leeuwenhoek is a good ice cream place with quality ingredients and good flavor.

Food: Great Ice cream and a great amount of flavors. You will be hard pressed not to find something delicious to eat.

Service: Walk up window with fast convenient service. It won't take long to get ice cream.

Ambiance: This is an outdoor ice cream establishment so there are no indoor eating options. So you will get quick service in the colder months than in the warmer months. It is outdoor but it is outdoor at the Point in El Segundo, so it is a great outdoor shopping plaza.

Summary, this is worth...
