BEWARE DOGS PAWS!!!!!
As this trail seemed nice at first.. it became a nightmare in our 3rd visit here with my dog!!! Half way through the trail a piece of wood went through my shoe, & into my left big toe. It was so painful!!! I had to limp for about a minute to get to bench to see what the heck was going on!!!
The wood made a hole in my shoe & left a splinter in my toe that left a hole!!! That’s how bad it is!! My toe started to swell & hurt more!!! I limped back to my car which was about 25 mins & then I noticed she was limping.
By the time we got to the car, I was able to set myself up & take the splinter out because fortunately I had tweezers in the car.
I checked my dogs paws & yup. Splinters. Then I noticed a boil or something on one of her knuckles… an old splinter from the previous visits during that same week. Sigh. It’s been 3 days & both of us are still suffering. I feel like such a bad dog owner for not thinking about the risks of a WOOD trail. We all know wood causes splinters!! I FEEL SO DUMB!

Parking is plentiful in the residential areas bordering the path, and there is also parking...
