Read moreI shop here because of my income, but also because I believe in who this thrift store helps support -- CHKD Children's Hospital. If you have plenty of time, there's always good bargains to be found. They have a little bit of everything, from brand new with the tags still on to gently used to vintage and antique. They also have a spot where you can test items, such as lamps, to be sure they work before buying them. They don't have batteries, so if you're specifically looking for an item that requires them you'll need to take some with you. Their prices are fair; some items are minimally less than regular store prices, but others, such as clothing & curtains, are better than retail prices. You can find the best deals if you've done your research & know what normal retail prices are. On Tuesdays everyone gets 25% off on everything. They did have discount days for seniors, military, & first responders, but I'm not sure if they do that anymore, & you had to ask for it at checkout. They do not...
Read moreThey started a exchange program. So if your clothes don't fit you can exchange them. Or they can just offer fitting rooms. I had a pair of shorts that didn't fit, and brought them back; only for them to refuse my exchange because I removed the tag. The cashier told me about the exchange program and did not mention leaving the tags on the garment, I tried on my garment after removing the tag as the tag is attached with STAPLES not one but two. I have learned my lesson with their Staples as I've been snagged and ripped by them in the past. I am a loyal customer and donate regularly. But in this case the customer was wrong, and they didn't give me a exchange. I will no longer be a customer at this store . Very dissatisfied with the whole CHKD outfit. QUIT USING STAPLES FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR...
