Goodwill Thrift Store & Donation Center — Attraction in Elizabethton

I was so EXCITED to find out They were gonna open!! However, whoever does the pricing must never get out!! I took a few pictures of some items. The Black cheap, used picture frame is a Dollar Tree frame. So you can get it for $2.99 used at Goodwill!! The Box Puzzles, also Dollar Tree for a $1 but at my local Goodwill $1.99 (Double).. The bag of cheap candles a bag will cost you $4.99 and at the dollar trees they are 4 for $1 NEW!! That badly used Truck that is plastic & dirty is $1.99.. also found at Dollar Tree. That plastic $2.99 Barbie is at the Dollartree, And I thought everyone knew Hotwheels are a buck every where around the world but at Goodwill its $2.99 for a normal Hotwheel!! Those 3 used tiny princesses, a whopping $5.99!! That torn up, dirty plastic fire truck $3.99!!! Those easter items in the basket ALL Dollar Tree but if you pay a $1 more you can get them at Goodwill!!! So over priced. I donate stuff all the time & was going to until I seen the prices!! Take your stuff to God Corner where ALL proceeds actually help our community & they resale the stuff at a used, fair rate!! Now I knownwhy the CEO makes OVER a million...

After recent weight loss of close to 100-pounds I decided it was time to let go of all clothing business, casual etc. So, my mother and I called ahead to let the crew know we would be coming with several bags (11) to be exact of women's plus size clothing.

When arriving to the store their was a employee male, name was (Bill) I think. Proceeded to unload the ladies car in front of me. Afterward we pulled forward and I got out of car greeted him and told him we had called ahead with a-lot of clothing to be donated. As he stepped inside the door with the first two bags, and said "DAMN IT TO HELL!" another one.

I didn't say a word, I proceed to help him load the car, and when I asked if he was having a good day he replied well its time for me to go home. When you pulled up to be exact. I simply kept quite and thanked him and left the building. After thinking it through I will most definitely be reporting him.

If you don't want to work, then go home. PS. We were there "if management cares at 5:45-6:35 on...

Definitely has lots of hidden goodies..just need to take the time to riffle through it all...some of the prices are a little bit expensive. But I understand that its helping others. No matter what I can always go there and find a few amazing things for either myself or my family!! As of April of 2024 it's still a really good place to hunt for amazing and unique items for yourself and your family and friends! Did notice that prices have gone up slightly....that's not a good thing either..I understand that basically everything has gone up in prices..But it seems like Goodwill should be a little more cost friendly...Just my opinion..! I still love the idea of helping others..so of course I will continue to shop there.. Just saying that especially during these tough times it should be helping those who are in need of clothes or household items like it says it does...prices shouldn't go up...they should remain low and available for the people who need...
