McNaughton Spray Park — Attraction in Elkhart

3 slides and lots of exciting dumping/spraying equipment. There’s the middle, featured slide area, and 2 more tame side areas with spray equipment that smaller kids may gravitate to. Lots of fun and perfect for kids for all ages. Fenced in with one entry (that i saw), and has bathrooms. Lots of friendly staff patrolling, watching. 👍🏻 My one suggestion is they wear clothes or suits that help identify them as staff. It’s hard to hear directions hollered over the water, but identifying clothing helps kids (and adults) understand who’s hollering to them and why. (My 3 yo got scared bc a big “kid” (teen) was yelling at her, but it was just a worker giving directions. But that wasn’t apparent without uniforms of some kind. Also, my daughter is deaf but can hear with cochlear implants, but sound is still more cluttered for her in this kind of noisy environment, but even I couldn’t understand what the worker said above the very noisy water.)

This is next to the hospital. There’s a huge picnic area with mature trees beside the river just behind this facility, and a big playground next to that - just a parking lot away!

Last day of the season was today :( but I think that’s why admission was free when we got there today! :). Great...

FREE to get in. No outside food or drink, they do have concession stand. That is there way to make money. Great Idea. What a wonderful place for kids to play...and even adults with the kids. Had to go buy swim suits. Didnt notice on the map site anywhere it had said must have suits. It was worth going to buy a suit. Very clean. So much to do in such a small area. Different ares for all ages. All employees were very friendly and kind....
