Bavarian Chocolatier — Attraction in Ellijay

We could not be more happy with the experience we had. We went with our friends on a group trip and just started exploring the town when we walked in to what felt like a Willy Wonka candy store. Gigi (Ms. D or Giana -if that’s how you spell it) at the counter instantly made us feel at home in a place we were visiting for the first time. The chocolate was delicious but the experience and conversations were even better. Thank you so much Ms. D for showing us so much gratitude and giving us a memory we will never forget. We will definitely be dropping by during our other adventures! Please stop here if you are ever in the area, it is worth it trust us....

For the most part, all the fudge I sampled and/or purchased was very tasty and I normally wouldn't complain. However, the young lady working behind the counter was quite rude. In hindsight, I wish I had not continued with the transaction after the 2.5 snarky little comments she made to my sweet mother. My mom still paid for my purchase (she won'tlet me 🙄) & she left an undeserved tip. My next visit to Ellijay will definitely not include another stop here.

Truly top-quality chocolate and confections. Always had a soft spot for truffles and this place doesn't disappoint. My favorites are the Dark Chocolate Overboard (Nothing bitter about his dark chocolate at all, think brownie fudge), coconut cream, Jack Daniels, and anything with coffee. He also makes THE best buckeyes you will ever taste. Owner's name is Michael and is nothing but an all-around good guy. Exactly the type of person I want my money going towards.
