Heavenly Nails Spa Inc. Encinitas — Attraction in Encinitas

I'm so glad my good friend recommended Heavenly Nails Spa at The Lumberyard in Encinitas. They took my reservation, and were ready when I arrived.

I typically avoid nail salons because I feel bad for the overworked technicians, I dislike the piped-in music and urgent atmosphere, and get tired of the hit-or-miss results.

Well, Heavenly Nails Spa is a real antidote to all that. Theresa and Lee, a sweet and likeable married couple who are truly into excellent customer service, keep a genuine spa-like atmosphere in their salon, serene and low-key (apart from the occasional train whistle, a Lumberyard fact of life) and appointed with pretty furnishings and decor. A gentle breeze wafts in through the open door, adding to the relaxed atmosphere.

And they do all the technical work themselves. Theresa's spa services were meticulous and thorough--I really felt like I was at a cushy getaway, it was so therapeutic and professional. There was no sense of urgency or hurrying, which is rare and made me feel very welcome.

Best of all, she took my sad, ragged little fingernails and toenails and made them look darling! She gave my cuticles amazing TLC, which they sorely needed. She chose Coca-Cola Red by OPI for my color and it looks so cute! It's like a 1940's girl-next-door red, not sireny or vixeny, and works perfectly with my pale skin.

Her husband, Lee, was giving a pedicure to a fellow in the next chair at the same time, and his professionalism and kindness were so nice to see.

All in all, I'm so excited to have a serene, professional, and ethical place to go from now on. First-rate results from owner-providers who really care--what a concept! I'm a happy lady : )

P.S.: Also, their polishes are neatly arrayed by color family... another feature of their on-point...

This was my first visit to Heavenly Nails Spa in Encinitas and my first mani-pedi since the COVID lockdown. I was greeted warmly and guided through necessary steps for COVID precautions. The salon is very clean and the decor is beautiful. Both of the technicians who worked with me were professional, gentle and attentive. The massages with both the mani and pedi were done well and left me feeling very relaxed and pampered. My nails are restored and I feel so grateful to have chosen such a quality salon for my long awaited mani-pedi. They handle the COVID requirements well and I would encourage anyone to try this salon. You will feel safe, pampered and they guarantee the results. They advised me that if I had any issues with the nails I could return within 2 weeks and they would correct it at no charge. I went here because the reviews were so positive. I was very disappointed. It was a husband and wife team. The husband did my pedicure and was very well done. His wife did my gel manicure and she did a horrible job. I picked a color and she said it was ok but once I was sitting down having my feet done she told me I couldn’t use that color. She filed my nails down really short after asking her to keep them long. She then cut me twice on both hands. The cuts were so bad that when she was painting my nail there was blood smeared into the color. She flung my hands around instead of asking me to place them.
