Ragtime was yet another great production from EPAC. This charming theater consistantly aims high and delivers. They attract unusually strong talent for a small town theater. They often push the envelope and take artistic risks that you wouldn't expect. And seemingly everytime they do, it pays dividends. In addition, the theater is very intimate. I often feel included in their productions because there are seating areas on three sides of the stage. I like to call it 'theater in the peninsula.'
There are a couple truly excellent theaters in this area. But for me, EPAC, a non-profit organization that does more with less, stands head and shoulders above the rest. There aren't enough positive words for me to adequately describe this place. Just go and see, feel, experience it...
Read moreI have seen Phantom of the Opera at numerous venues over the years...from high schools to regional theaters like the Fulton Opera House to Broadway (3x). This was easily my favorite production of the show! The fact that the cast was all under 18 is astounding. The 8-10 main parts were played magnificently and the singing and acting talent were out of this world! The staging, sound, production, music, and directing were all easily Broadway worthy. If we wouldn't have gone to the final show of the run, we definitely would have returned for another showing.
