Weathered Vineyards Ephrata — Attraction in Ephrata

Not anything close to a vineyard. Just a unremarkable room in an old inn. I had a Groupon for four people and the owner brought us some crackers, cheese and olives. The spread was tasty. The fireplace was not on which could of improved the ambience. The wine tasting was a laugh. You get a choice of five wines. She brings back a flight with a sip in each. She says it adds up to one glass of wine when you combine the 5. (It didnt) I've been to dozens of vineyards across the country and no one was ever this cheap. The little you receive was expensive for the Groupon price. Thankfully we didn't pay full price! Better off having wine at a bar or a restaurant. Enjoyed the time we were there until we were on our way out. My wife and I stopped at the backyard seating area which has outdoor chairs and is featured on their website as an outdoor dining area. No one else was anywhere around and we were sitting quietly alone until one of the owners came over and told us we couldn’t sit there. He fabricated some lame reason about the area not being licensed. Not even sure what that could possibly mean. We were not sitting there drinking or eating just enjoying the beautiful weather in the place that enticed us (on their own website) to visit. We were in Lancaster on a last minute trip when we found this gem. We have been to a number of other wine tasting establishments in the area, but this place sets the bar. If you are in Lancaster, you have to take the time to visit the tasting room.
