One of the last of the local "bakeries". Staffed well with more than just inviting people behind the counter, I was truly caught off guard and find this level of friendliness so rare to see. I was impressed with how pleasant and happy Dominic was. Seems this place is run by someone of Uzbekistan and Turkish descent. This clearly shows in the quality and presentation of the products, something you don't see very often here in the states. (Remember this you "hooked on SWEET" Americans: this is very close to the mid European, Northern Arabic countries "style" but with flair and I know many a country in that area. They don't do sugar like we FAT Americans do. Remember this. You are getting the full flavor from the sweet....you Americans call them desserts, pastries, etc, without all those unnecessary sugars overwhelming what is supposed to be the flavors. At this place, I TASTED everything in the sweet.) I can't rave about this place enough, just keep in mind to bring yourself, maybe, a couple of extra bucks because the pastries are outstanding but a little bit pricey for the average blue collar American. That being said, they are fully worth it! They get a BIG BRAVA from me and that is VERY rare! Brava!

A quaint little bakery downtown I visited this bakery the morning of a weekday, and they were bustling with people. They offer a variety of baked goods and pastries as well as coffee options. Turkish coffee was very flavorful and served in a neat tiny coffee cup with a saucer. Tried their freshly baked pita with ground beef and cheese, and it was delicious. Ordered Dulce de leche cake to go. It was tasty with the right amount of sweetness. Though I found the cake texture to be a little too dry for my liking (not sure whether it is meant to be dry or not). The presentation of their bakery and dessert was spot on. There is plenty of seating inside Staff were friendly and happy to explain things to you. The products are on the higher end, price-wise. Parking can be challenging if you go during rush hours.

Severely overpriced pastries. Make sure you ask what is actually baked on premise. A lot of their pastries are "imported from Turkey" and not even made there. No idea how they justify their prices. This is a place you try once for the novelty and don't go back. Fiancé got some assorted pastries. Baklava was one of the worst ones I’ve had. The pastry itself was mushy and soft instead of light and flaky. Almost no nuts in it and only one small thin layer. I would’ve expected multiple layers at that outrageous price of 4 pieces for 9.95. Honey syrup was tasteless and probably watered down considering how mushy it was. Everything tasted old and stale. High prices and sub par tasting pastries, not sure what the hype is with this place at all.

l popped in here on my way out of town. The first pastry l laid eyes on looked like a dream and all the rest looked even better! l'm someone who appreciates the little things and expects the bug things. While there is always Something to appreciate, it is rare that Everything is excellent. During my time in the area, being that the conversion rate was in my favor, I tried several food items in each place l went, looking for the sweet treat to make me replete. At Bakery on 5th there is no need for redemption snacking, they get it right on the first bite! Everything l tasted here was delicious! Going further, the music selection was perfect, maybe l'm bias but the first song l heard after entering the store with my new husband was our song. I rarely, if ever, hear that song is storefronts. The window art was delightful. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, while everyone l encountered while away was significantly more friendly than at home, the barista who helped us at the Bakery on 5th went above and beyond for everyone he served to provide the best experience while in the shop! It reminded me of the stellar Nordstrom customer service they used to aim for when they were new. If I lived in town I know that O would be on a first name basis at the Bakery on 5th, not just because of my frequent visits but because of the friendliness of the barista. I am used to a shallow friendliness like at DitchBros but this place seemed more like a place where friends...

Great sitting atmosphere and the food looked amazing. This place just opened up and has great potential, however there are few things I think they could improve on. Immediately, was a little overwhelmed because there were no signs on any of the pastries so it was very difficult to navigate through the various options. The employees try their best to explain everything but when there is a lot of people, it creates a bit of a mess and a few people get overlooked or missed. I think the shop would benefit from having little signs on their pastries. Also, either taking orders from the register or from the counter but not both. Creating a better flow will definitely elevate the experience. This is a new business that is already very successful, once they get the hang of a few minor nuances they will just continue to flourish. It’s definitely a place Erie needed and I would love to see...
