l popped in here on my way out of town. The first pastry l laid eyes on looked like a dream and all the rest looked even better! l'm someone who appreciates the little things and expects the bug things. While there is always Something to appreciate, it is rare that Everything is excellent. During my time in the area, being that the conversion rate was in my favor, I tried several food items in each place l went, looking for the sweet treat to make me replete. At Bakery on 5th there is no need for redemption snacking, they get it right on the first bite! Everything l tasted here was delicious! Going further, the music selection was perfect, maybe l'm bias but the first song l heard after entering the store with my new husband was our song. I rarely, if ever, hear that song is storefronts. The window art was delightful. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, while everyone l encountered while away was significantly more friendly than at home, the barista who helped us at the Bakery on 5th went above and beyond for everyone he served to provide the best experience while in the shop! It reminded me of the stellar Nordstrom customer service they used to aim for when they were new. If I lived in town I know that O would be on a first name basis at the Bakery on 5th, not just because of my frequent visits but because of the friendliness of the barista. I am used to a shallow friendliness like at DitchBros but this place seemed more like a place where friends...

I was impressed with how pleasant and happy Dominic was.
Seems this place is run by someone of Uzbekistan and Turkish descent. This clearly shows in the quality and presentation of the products, something you don't see very often here in the states.
(Remember this you "hooked on SWEET" Americans: this is very close to the mid European, Northern Arabic countries "style" but with flair and I know many a country in that area. They don't do sugar like we FAT Americans do. Remember this. You are getting the full flavor from the sweet....you Americans call them desserts, pastries, etc, without all those unnecessary sugars overwhelming what is supposed to be the flavors. At this place, I TASTED everything in the sweet.)
I can't rave about this place enough, just keep in mind to bring yourself, maybe, a couple of extra bucks because the pastries are outstanding but a little bit pricey for the average blue collar American. That being said, they are fully worth it!
They get a BIG BRAVA from me and that is VERY...
Read moreGreat sitting atmosphere and the food looked amazing. This place just opened up and has great potential, however there are few things I think they could improve on. Immediately, was a little overwhelmed because there were no signs on any of the pastries so it was very difficult to navigate through the various options. The employees try their best to explain everything but when there is a lot of people, it creates a bit of a mess and a few people get overlooked or missed. I think the shop would benefit from having little signs on their pastries. Also, either taking orders from the register or from the counter but not both. Creating a better flow will definitely elevate the experience. This is a new business that is already very successful, once they get the hang of a few minor nuances they will just continue to flourish. It’s definitely a place Erie needed and I would love to see...
