Delta Plaza Mall — Attraction in Escanaba

Not a great place anymore, rundown inside the mall itself. Carpet stains, cracked sidewalks, paint peeling overhead, and stain glass or plastic above. Alot been done to bring in new stores but all have external entrances ignoring whats going on inside. Alot of work needs to be done on the inside and outside. Also the packing lot needs to be resurfaced. I was there two years ago, and believe its worse now then it was the last time. Why not use all the empty hallways or stores to bring in more businesses from main street and have booths setup that they can sell their products? This could be done in accordance to the Covid laws currently in Michigan. The state of decay inside the Delta Plaza is unacceptable and I give the Mall a rating of pathetic state. Please fix...

2 stars-mostly because the smaller shops are cool. Those 3 stars were lost by the maintenance of the bathrooms and lack of any larger stores- but mostly the bathrooms. Please fix them. I couldn't use the handicap stall with my service dog, because the lock on the door is broken so we had to squeeze in the smaller stalls. Along with one of the smaller stalls which was the only clean toilet to use and I prayed my service dog wouldn't bump the door open since we had such a tight space. And the only remaing stall with working lock has bodily fluids all over the toilet. Please...

The stores that are still in the mall are great. I love being able to swing into a bookstore after I leave Joanne's. It's sad to see that so many of the shops are empty, along with a completely empty food court. I've heard rumors that the mall has changed hands and perhaps this change will bring life back to the rest of the building. It's a beautiful structure and if it could attracted more shops, could be a very fantastic place to spend the day. I haven't given up hope...
