Whether collecting for Wicca, Divination, your collection or a new peice of jewelry, this place tops most of the others I've been to. While not necessarily in price, but quality as well as quantity, Ore Cart has a variety of Geodes to Crystal formations of all shapes and sizes, even synthesized gems in some of their displays for those on a budget looking for their stone.

After having a near perfectly clean crack on my Calcite geode, picking up so awesome deals on smaller gems, I got to say I was impressed as the man who operated the chain spun machine explained a lot about the crystal, it's classification as well as other formations and generally informative small talk. A humble shop worth checking out if you got someone or even kids who'd love to see how geodes look prior and after, the cracking process is inclusive in the price which is marked on the geode and most likely priced based on size and shape.

They've also got a large selection of different crystals and stones aside from the aforementioned and found myself leaving with Quartz, Amythest, Citrine, and Celestite.

They're friendly and apparently open all year long, don't pass this up if you're having a bad day rockhounding out in...

This store is AWESOME!! We were walking around estes Park after visiting RMNP and I'm so glad we stopped here. Such a wonderful gift to have a place with so many of nature's treasures for sale. Petrified wood, quartz, selenite, rocks that I'd never heard of before, and WAYY more. While walking around Jacob complimented my mushroom hat 🍄, and even knew the exact species that was on it. He pointed me in the direction of some podcasts to learn about fungi, and we connected on a love for nature and mycelium. I was inspired by his look and by the necklace that he had on, and just had to get one. (See photo) He also showed me a rock that only occurred in one place on earth- an active volcano in Indonesia. That rock is now a prized possession of mine and stands out amazingly alongside the rest of my collection. THANK YOU JAKE FOR BEING AWESOME!!! I would recommend this shop to absolutely anyone passing through...

The inventory here is always so amazing and diverse. Hands down my most FAVORITE shop in Estes. I always stop in when I'm in town to grab another geode for my collection. I love that I can choose one and have them crack it right there in store with their nifty cracking machine. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the stones and rocks they carry. Truly a must visit for any geology lover. The prices, I think, are pretty reasonable for the larger pieces, though maybe a wee bit high for the tiny ones. Yet I haven't found another shop with such an array of geological goodies to...

What a fantastic store for those that love gemstones, geodes, and geology! This is a large store that is well organized, labeled, and clean. We were in Estes Park during CoVid, celebrating our anniversary. My wife and I noticed that it was a very busy weekend. Lots of tourists. Almost everyone was wearing masks. We strolled down only one side of their shopping district for 1.5 hours and stumbled upon this "gem" of a store. Easy to find cheap keepsakes for children or spwnd big bucks on large fossils & unique gifts.

This place was awesome! So unique and great prices. The worker we talked to was super knowledgeable and really great, he walked us through the process of splitting open the geodes they have there and split it open for us, it was so fun! You can pick any of the geodes there, they have a variety of prices based on the size and it makes it a cool experience. Here was ours! Photo doesn’t do it justice
