EMU Craft Center — Attraction in Eugene

Very clean and open workspace, around 8 wheels for throwing. Amazing opportunity for UO students, the only thing needed to start working in the space for free was a short 30 minute orientation (only for people with prior experience, only free to UO Students and staff). If you do not have experience, they offer a range of different learning opportunities, from throwing to hand building classes. The only thing you pay for when working in the space is the clay, which is around $10-12 (If I can remember correctly). Firing takes a bit of time, as they load everything at once when the kiln is filled. Would recommend to try...

Nice clean open work areas. Quality tools avalible and materials that are decently priced. The staff are always willing to make sure you have a good time and stay safe. Cheap classes by teachers who know what they are doing. Bonus, you can you campus cash...

What a cool place! They have a huge variety of craft centers with all kinds of equipment and supplies. The lady at the desk said she had a senior who didn’t find out about this place until he was about to graduate, which is a real bummer....
