As far as above ground goes you find a nice all around cemetery experience here. Not 5 stars, but nice enough. There's plenty to keep busy with, or if you just want to stare off into the distance then that works here too. Below ground I don't know and I haven't heard back from anyone. Read moreThe pioneer cemetery contains a large amount of graves from the early 1800s-1900s. If you’re looking for the founders of Eugene, you’ll have to go to the Eugene Masonic Cemetery off of 24th. This is more of an ambling, historic stroll through a small park. It’s maintained by the University, although they’ve tried to bulldoze it time and time again for more dormitories. It's interesting to see some of the very old tombstones and the beautiful art and inscriptions. I'm happy to see it is now being taken care of and cleaned up.
