Cross City Church Euless Campus — Attraction in Euless

I recently left Gateway Church due to the legal issues of their Sr. Pastor Robert Morris. Therefore, I was looking to find a church to call home and tried Cross City Church today. It was what you expect a newer, bigger Christian church to be: big worship hall and stage, stage lighting, big screens, etc. Worship was okay. We took communion and it wasn't passed out by ushers and instead to be picked up at random tables throughout the auditorium in a sort of free for all. Overall, still happy to have attended and taken communion. However, as the pastor began his sermon he began with remembrance of this week's events: "9/11", "a shooting in a Colorado school", "a horrible subway killing of a woman", and "the assassination of Charlie Kirk". Huh? What? Excuse me? Sir, the Colorado victims name is Matthew Silverstone (he was a child attending school), the woman on the subway's name is Iryna Zarutska (she simply existed). Charlie Kirk built his platform on "Prove Me Wrong" to disparage disadvantaged communities, underprivileged groups, underserved populations, oppressed groups, and socially excluded groups. Did Jesus do that, too? He did not. He washed the feet of Peter and Judas Iscariot. Jesus was known as a "friend of sinners" because he associated with people on the fringes of society, such as prostitutes and tax collectors. Therefore, simply mentioning a far-right influencers name, in church, in a manner to say he was solely persecuted for his beliefs in God is simply not true and truly shows the pastor's true beliefs. If you want a pastor that will purely regurgitate conservative talking points (conservative Christian man assassinated for his religious beliefs), this is the church for you. But if you believe a pastor should be able to walk a mile in the shoes of all those that attentd his culturally diverse church, I'd say go somewhere else. I did. I up and left immediately, will not be coming back, and in no way would ever recommend...

This campus sits directly across from Trinity high school and when school lets out there is a lot of foot traffic from students and cars park in their parking lot to pick up students. It’s especially helpful to use their parking lot due to all the construction and traffic around the school. I picked up my son yesterday and an older guy in a black f250, who I can safely assume works for the church, approached my vehicle and just yelled “the cones are there for a reason. We’re working there. You need to move”. I looked around and see no construction being done on the parking lot and I go to ask him what he means by working and he took off. I do not let people speak to me that way and I think the church should be embarrassed that someone representing them is speaking to people this way. The comes were moved to allow me into the left parking lot. Even still, the right parking lot is fair game? I cannot even fathom a reason why one side of the parking lot is okay and not the other. Just a male Karen. This church should be embarrassed to have this guy roaming around policing cones and berating people. He’s lucky I had my daughter with me, I was pretty irate with his tone. Big beta male energy to just yell...

I’ve been here a few times - once with a friend, once solo, and now today with my boyfriend. I absolutely love this church and their welcome souls.

They have children services, international services, Spanish-speaking services, classical services and a worship service.
