Taco Cabana — Restaurant in Euless

I don't know what to even begin? This morning I stopped at the Taco Cabana on 157 in Euless for a quick bite. And it was anything but quick. I heard the cashier explain to the gentleman in front of me that food was going to take 45 minutes to come out. At that time the customer in front of me requested a manager. After the manager talked to the customer she assured him that it would be no longer than 10 minutes for his order to be filled. So I decided to place my order anyway also. I then proceeded to look for a table and noticed that most of the dining room had some type of leak because water was coming from somewhere it was wet in more than half of the floor. I also observed a gentleman don't know if it was another manager, possibly not on duty doing his side work or other? But this gentleman looked like he has just woke up and got out of bed? Walking around the dining area with slides and shorts on with no uniform. Doing menial tasks. Needless to say, we did not wait 45 minutes for our orders? We actually waited 30 minutes for our orders! This is the worst experience yet at Taco Cabana, and I have been a fan of this concept for about 20 years now. It kind of makes sense now why these concepts are now starting to fade out and of far and in between. On a little side note, the customers waiting on two bean and cheese tacos to go waited so long that they just left without the food they said that when the order came out, I could have it. It is unbelievable how long the wait was to get our food this morning.

I visited this Taco Cabana location again this afternoon at about 11:00 for a quick lunch! Since I was in the area. Needless to say, compared to my previous visit, today was extremely better. The service was faster, the restaurant was cleaner and the food was great! Not to mention, the staff seemed to be in a better mood than the previous staff. I want to preface this by saying I love Cabana and it is probably my favorite Mexican fast food but this is my honest review.

Went to this location last night and have been several times previously as it is down the road from my job. I ordered 5 tacos 1 soft shredded chicken and in the photo is what I was given, it says enough. I also ordered 2 crispy beef tacos that were so greasy when I picked it up the shell broke and everything fell out of the taco. Finally I ordered a fajita taco plate with double rice and the tacos as they come which would include peppers and onions. After recieving my food and checking the order I see not a single onion or pepper on either taco and beans instead of a 2nd rice. Now let me say I really wasnt surprised about the rice when I tell you they get this wrong every time, I mean EVERY TIME, and it does not matter the location either they all get it wrong but I at least expecting peppers and onions on my tacos, so as I go back thru i recieve my 2nd rice but the girl says they are out of peppers and onions. It would've been nice had they told me that the 1st time around, especially since I ordered it ahead. How is Mexican restaurant out of peppers and onions, it pretty much goes with any dish you serve. After two years, I really hoped things would have been a lot better than my visit. Alas, I was only fooling myself. I had the flautas, but from a different location. They were seasoned, moist, and fresh. I decided to take a leap and get the same thing, from this location. Man, was I wrong!

Like a previous comment stated, the grease used, definitely, wasn't fresh. They tasted burnt and picked up some of the flavors of whatever else was cooked in that same grease. I also had an order of the churros, those too, were fried in the same grease(I assume).

Wowza!

Now I know why this place is always empty, the service is horrendous. We ordered the buffalo chicken sampler, I kid you not, the wait was almost fifteen minutes. I would have left, if we didn't already pay for the food. At one point, I did knock on the window, but they were too busy cleaning to hear the knock on the drive thru window. Three, yes, three cars left the line and good for them. I was shocked, I wasn't asked to pull into a spot so they could focus on the others in line, they didn't care.

When I finally received my food, the box was messy and had cheese all over it and when I asked for napkins she said, "they're in the bag". As if she didn't notice all of the cheese on the box she handed me.
