We were planning our 2nd inexpensive water park day but the Chisholm water park we went to in Hurst was not open on a Thursday and the other one that was open had short operating hours. We looked at two different water parks to visit so we called ahead to this park and asked if we could use our go pro and phones in the water with protective cases on them. They said yes and we called the Bedford YMCA pool and they said that they did not know. Since this park said yes, we chose this park for a group of 6 to attend. We were there for 30 minutes or less before we were told to get our go pro and phone out of the water. When we explained to the life guard that we called ahead and were told that we could, he said he did not know the exact rules. Another in our group got told from another lifeguard that she couldn’t have her phone either. We were very disappointed because we got a new go pro for underwater pictures and then we could not use it for its intended purpose. We were there by 12:30 with a person waiting for us and all the inner tubes were already taken. What we did find were always deflated. The life guards just stay in their towers most of the time and always blew their whistle, but they never say why they are blowing it. It happened so often I was getting paranoid if I was doing something wrong. At the Chisholm water park we were wanting to go to in Hurst, the lifeguards were always walking around the pools constantly looking out for everyone and if someone was doing something they shouldn’t, the lifeguard would kindly tell them not to do it instead of constantly blowing the whistle. The things we did like about this park were that the snacks were inexpensive, the long hours were good and they play family friendly music on...
Read moreMy family and I went to the pool for the day. half way through the day our kids came and told us that a few girls were bullying my niece in the pool. We started watching and sure enough they were. After that we started looking for parents to talk to and find out that her mother works there or for "the city" is what she said. We tried talking to her to handle the situation, but she got very defensive over her daughter and said I don't believe anything you are saying. She then carried on by telling us to stay away from them or we would have to leave the pool. So not only did she ignore the problem but she also threatened to make us leave. As we were talking A lady named Ashley came to talk to us and a big blonde guy with a man bun. They were very helpful and very sweet. They made us feel welcome again and we went back to swimming. BUT THAT WASN'T THE END... the mother of the daughter, who also works for the city, found us in the lazy river and had another lady with her and she was pointing at us in the river. Okay, so now you are dragging things on and bringing other people into it. So, we get out of the pool and ask for a name but she turned around and walked off refusing to give us her name. We then asked ashley for her name and again we got turned down. She said she would get it for us but never did. I still dont know who this lady is and I would like for someone to contact me about the issue. Sorry for whoever has to read this. If it helps, she was an...
Read moreI remember one time I went here some kids made fun of me cause I was wearing a vest and yeah I was a bit too old for a life vest but I literally just didn't know how to swim at that time and I wasn't tryna die while drowning
Also whenever its not busy, the waters kinda dirty and has dead bugs laying around and I swallowed one on accident once. And whenever it is busy, all of a sudden the water is pitch clear and clean. Its like they only care about the quality of the water when they have most visitors
Another problem is that some of the lifegaurds just sit there kinda like they're just waiting for their pay, other than a minor few of them who actually do care. there was this one kid who kept splashing water on me and I told him to stop but he didn't and I looked at the lifegaurd to see if she would do anything about it, but she was sitting there like she was watching a squid game episode. like bro hello? help me 💔
Ik the waterpark is mainly for kids but the lazy rivers just way too short for my liking, the waters only reaches my hips so its kinda hard to enjoy. Now that I'm older, I feel like going to a larger waterpark with more activities is better for me. Like epic waters
But the nachos and food are gas. now that I think about it the lifegaurds are chill and the slides are also really fun
Edit: Ive seen a gas station with a better restroom 😭 I also notice that the area meant for the younger kids usually have a light tint of...
