Sportsman's Warehouse — Attraction in Eureka

On December 28th when we (my fiancé and I) went to pick up a firearm that I purchased there were a few employees that were at the counter during my transaction. They both were bashing and talking about another employee that needed to be fired and how they couldn’t stand him. They both were using profanity during this conversation. My fiancé asked politely that they not use that language in front of my as I’m a lady and a customer. The one employee they call drew laughed and asked if he was joking. In the end he walked away and we went about our transaction to get bullets and my finance apologized to another employee that was helping us saying he didn’t wanna cause problems but that it wasn’t ok, this employee agreed. When we walked back to the counter from getting bullets the supervisor Chris was there and that employee drew also came walking up telling my fiancé that he didn’t appreciate him saying anything to him that he was just trying to do his job and his supervisor agreed. At first when everything I was a bit overwhelmed with the decor and vast nature of this warehouse of outdoor supplies. It's not nearly as compact as the other 'Big' named outfitters two blocks away, but much larger and for some reason almost campy - no pun intended.

As far as basic items you would expect to find, I felt I was paying about 20% more than I would have at that other retailer, but it was also a bit of apples and oranges, as the same type of item would often be a different brand.

The staff at the other place, although helpful and friendly, cannot however, compare to the level of attentiveness and customer support I've received each time over visited Sportsman's Warehouse - and I mean stellar support. That alone is worth a couple of extra duckets.

You may save a bit by employing the frugality of comparison shopping, but the level of personal attention you'll receive here far outweighs any cost benefit of going elsewhere in town.

I had ordered a firearm online to ship to store and I messed up some paperwork so I had to wait 30 days to finish up paperwork. After 30 days I wasn’t going to be able to be in town for a few days after. I had called and talked to the gun department about it and they acknowledged what I had said and their response was it will be fine to just come down. (Mind you I’m traveling an hour and a half to visit the store). When I came back in to redo paperwork, they had told me they sent my firearm back since they hadn’t had a call to tell them I wasn’t going to be able to get there for a few more days.(even though I had called) He said “there was nothing they could do about it except reorder it and I would have to wait another week or two” and make that drive back.
