I hate to give this venue 1 star because it's a neat building, but the staff are TRASH. My girl friend brought a purse w/ shoulder strap about 12 inches long and only a few inches wide. Honestly pretty small. We were denied entry. I did go back to their website and purses over 6 inches are prohibited, but it wasn't on any emails and who honestly even thinks a little clutch is going to be banned. Anyway, that alone wouldn't have warranted a 2 star review except a couple came in right after us with a purse about the same size and they were admitted! The staff (taller, older woman) held up a sheet of paper and the other girls purse was as big as the sheet. So it was in the red section that was supposed to only be ok for clear bags. That couple was allowed to break the rules and go in anyway. It gets worse. The staff woman says they told her to direct people to the bus stop to use their lockers. I was frustrated because we took an uber there and had no car, so we walked to the bus stop and they were closed... We go back to the venue and let them know the bus stop she recommended was close, so she calls someone over on her radio and the next woman suggests we HIDE MY GIRLFRIEND'S PURSE IN AN ALLEY NEARBY. Seriously, one of the most ridiculous experiences at a venue where they selectively apply rules and give absolutely terrible suggestions. I hope they revise their policies, or at least do better about announcing unusual/extreme policies and then actually train their staff and equally...

Be prepared to be hassled by the staff and the over the top rules and regulations at this venue !!! The venue itself looks quite nice , but that’s all I can say positive about our experience here . Never in all my decades of 100’s of concert attendances have I seen so many rules and regulations for attending a concert . Missed the entire first part of the show because apparently there is a purse size regulation , and my girlfriend had to return her normal sized purse to the car , in the cold because the purse didn’t meet the “ purse size regulations “ . We almost didn’t get to go in the doors , as they locked the doors after the show started , and we had to pound on locked doors until someone unlocked the door for us and then the staff shamed us for being late . I could go on and on about the manners of which this place is set up to hassle you about something , but the point of this review is be advised that this venue is a nice looking place with over the top rules and a staff that seems to enjoy...

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Victory Theatre. We went to see the Maestro of the Cinema: John Williams tribute orchestra event. I really wasn't sure what to expect with the event and venue- other than great score pieces. The inside of Victory Theatre is very regal and reminiscent of the old theatres that held musical and theater events centuries ago. They have clean restrooms and a good selection of drinks and some snacks from their concession stand, which is located on the main floor. The musicians were wonderful and extremely talented! It was amazing to hear them play classic pieces from movies that John Williams created the scores for.

I highly recommend getting tickets to events at Victory Theatre and to the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra if you have the chance; seeing a live orchestra is an experience unlike any other, and the conductor and musicians for the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra are truly wonderful! My husband and I look forward to seeing...

Security was rude when wanding me; they didn't give me any instructions to empty my pockets and then acted like I was stupid for not taking a piece of plastic out of my pocket. He rudely said "COME ON MAN!" sorry, I didn't know a piece of plastic needed to come out of my pocket. I guess he saw a shape in my pocket and wondered what it was but they should've handled that differently. The seats are small and really close together. I was in the second row and right in the middle. The seat cost me a lot of money and it was very uncomfortable. At a minimum they need to replace the cushions in the seats. My cushion was collapsed and non-existent.

Still a very charming little theater. However, seating is extremely strange and limited. Be careful when choosing your seat. If you have someone taller in front of you, your vision is limited. My husband got us tickets to see Trailer Trash Tammy. He bought, "orchestra left" seats, which sound pretty close to the stage one would think. However, we were 4 rows from the back! The lines for alcohol, foods, and merch were strung 3 different ways, but all met right in front of the entrances to the theater. This was a very difficult feat as we were trying to get in to find our seats. Be careful with this venue.

Stunning space! What greets you when you open the theatre doors is breathtaking! The bright gold and red sets the mood immediately. The sound and acoustics are great. There are large restrooms, water fountains and concessions. Security is excellent and very helpful by the way. We’ve seen an orchestra and choir perform but I can’t wait to come back for a rock concert or ballet. It seems all sorts of shows come thru this theatre. We’re sort of new to town and I’m glad we checked the schedule! Right in the heart of downtown too so you can also shop before and eat and drink after, great spot.
