Will not stay again. Will stay at hotel next door when I'm in town for work.
Room cleanliness upon arrival wasn't great but I always carry Clorex wipes so I cleaned it. No big deal about to old TP on toilet and old formally wet TP dried to sides of trash can, etc.
What really upset me was that I asked 3 days in a row to have room vacuumed as there were old dried up rose petals and other debris on carpet. When my 2yr old son came to town I didn't want him picking stuff off the floor and putting it in his mouth. My room was never vacuumed entire 9 day stay. Never received room service after scheduling it every other day. Had to place trash and used towels outside of room to be picked up and get new towels from front desk when I needed them. Handle on sink broke and sink took a very long time to drain causing it to leave gross sink goo in sink entire 9 days. Had to ask 3 times for handle to be repaired and when it was the sink draining issue was never fixed and repaired handle and sink were filthy.
One day my 2 yr old son wet the bed during his nap and we asked for bed to be changed. I took off all sheets and blanket. Came back to hotel around 4pm after asking for bed change (around 1pm) and had set of folded sheets laid on bed with a few towels.... I made bed and had to go ask for a new blanket/duvet/comforter. After several times of asking and 4 hours had surpassed we were offered a dirty/discolored blue blanket. I asked if we could please have a blanket/duvet/comforter (what orig. came on bed) and were finally given one. Again... after waiting for 4hrs after requesting a blanket at front desk. I was able to then finish making the bed and we were finally able to go to sleep.
If I wasn't so tired after work each day and my family wasn't visiting for 2.5 days while I worked out here I would have left. I had recommended this hotel to other workers that do per diem work out here and I will tell them to stay far away.
Each time I kindly asked (I understand everyone is understaffed, etc - that's why I'm out here working!) I was met with annoyance or someone that just didn't care. I got sick of asking for a sink that would drain and a room to be vacuumed or a blanket for my bed or room service.
Having stayed here previously I would also add that someone should probably come by and detail the rooms because the wallpaper is dirty in the bathrooms, the carpets could use someone to go around with a vacuum along the edges and take a look at your furniture (wood and cloth) as it could all use a good wipe down (i.e I had something sticky dripped down the side of one of the nightstands and other surfaces had old handprints on them).
I travel ~200 days/yr and this has been one of the worst hotels I have...

My wife and I wanted to have a little date night, nothing special just a night away from the kids to focus on us.
We picked DoubleTree because we had heard nice things and it is one of the newest hotels in the area.
We arrive at our check-in time 3:00pm to find out the room has not been cleaned yet and it would take 30 minutes to clean. No big deal these things happen, we take advantage of the situation and go check out The Rooftop. We had never been before and this would be a great time. The Rooftop was nice, a little too gen z for me but still had a nice time.
We head back to the DoubleTree around 4:00 to see if our room is ready. To our dismay it was not. The front desk agent was apologetic but basically told us we would just need to wait until the room is ready as they had no other available. There was no attempt to comp us anything or even an offer to knock off our $15 parking fee. Oh well, so we just wait in the lobby. (The bar was closed)
Finally we were able to check into our room at 4:47pm. The room as clean enough. Lighting was terrible, one little lamp for the huge living room area. There was no local guide or any information on how to order room service, and this may sound petty but my wife was really looking forward to the fluffy bath robe promised on the website.
So we make the best of it, decide that room service was not our style anyway so we order pick up from an amazing little Korean place called Gangnam. I highly recommend this place if you get a chance. We walk to get our pickup, stay for a quick Sake. Walk back to the hotel for a nice dinner in the poorly lit living area. Watch some Netflix and sad to say we are old, feel asleep around 9pm. Just to be woken up at midnight by the guest upstairs. The floors appear to be paper thin we could hear almost everything including the TV and people's conversations. They seemed to settle down around 3am and we were able to get back to sleep.
In the morning we decided we were done with this place, packed up, skipped the free breakfast and went straight to Lamasco's for some delightful breakfast pizza. (And maybe a couple Bloody Marys)
In conclusion, DoubleTree did not meet my expectations and I would recommend finding another location if you are looking for anything more than a place to...

Had a great experience when I hosted an event. Kendra in sales was very easy to work with. We can't wait to go back.
EDIT: hosted second event in this hotel expecting a similar experience. IT WAS NOT IT.
The restaurant staff was amazing. Food was amazing. Great front desk. Rooms were clean, but the sales staff - mainly Jessica made our experience horrible. Chelsea was kind and tried her best to be helpful.
We would ask for calls, she would only email. We would ask questions and she would over look them, she told the owner of the company that was hosting the event that she kept calling and couldn't reach us. - which wasn't true. Tried charging us 600 more for things we were not told we would be charged for. Told us they were a 'gift' when our first experience was happening BUT WHEN WE REBOOKED, WE WERE TOLD ONLY THE CHARGE WOULD GO UP BY about 100 DUE TO SEASON!!!
Our microphone stopped working multiple times. Our emcee was yelling for 25 min to keep things going. We were made to pay for this 'gift', and it didn't work half the event.
Our stage was so much smaller than the first time. We also paid for this 'gift' and it wasnt correct
The mic was only turned on in half of the room for first half of the event, and we went through so many batteries with no assistance in any fair manner of time....and we also got placed furthest from the bathrooms ans our dressing rooms which we were promised would change. AV was called and barely would show up our staff was continually running down the mile long hall for help.
We do this every weekend as a job, we understand things happen. We know price changes are a thing but we also understand contracts and this is not the place to host your event.
We have venues we have had 10 year relationships with and this one won't be one. Kendra...
