Much smaller than I expected. The aisles are cramped to the point that you can’t fit two carts down one aisle.
The employees were … surprising. I wanted to purchase a cordless table saw with a free battery - a promotion they had at this time of year. I found an employee to help and while explaining what I wanted a man in a scooter rode by, dragging the scooter’s electrical cord behind him. The employee immediately yelled after him, but he appeared to not hear her, so she chased him down and started slapping his shoulder. Probably afraid and confused, he kept going straight, leaning away from her slaps. She got winded and appeared frustrated so she reached down, grabbed the cord, dug her heels in (as best she could) and leaned back with her full body weight - jerking the scooter to a stop and snapping the man’s head forward. Bewildered, he turned to look at her but she just threw the cord at his head and mumbled something about “that’s not safe.” 🫣
She finally began taking me around the store, pointing to various tools in cages, saying “this is it.” She tried to tell me a small, handheld circular saw was what I wanted. Then she tried to tell me the SKU matched with an impact driver. She INSISTED. Luckily I happen to know what a table saw IS and didn’t fall for her feeble attempts at gaslighting me - if that’s even what she was doing. I think she just misread the SKU I showed her and couldn’t accept that she was wrong.
It took 45 min before they found my table saw. Convincing them that the battery was included free was another battle, but a far less exciting one. When they found the saw it was on a shelf and required a ladder to reach. Instead of, oh, I don’t know, being careful with the product, she decided it was a good idea to just push the entire table saw off of the 10’ shelf onto the ground. Thank god I bought dewalt. Even though it landed on an its corner - crushing it - the saw itself was fine (once I got it home and tried it). But they didn’t even apologize, or ask if I wanted another one. I just wanted to get away from these people so I accepted the possible damage and checked out.
Every single employee told me the battery wasn’t free, or that I was wrong, it was an online promotion only. But I rang it up, got the price of the battery automatically discounted, used my military discount, and gtfo.
I’m never going back. The elder abuse alone should be enough to scare anyone away, but the disregard for their products is also concerning. Not to mention their complete confusion over which products are meant for which tasks (an impact driver is NOT a table saw), and their ignorance of store promotions.
My advice? Know what you want. Get it quick. Don’t speak to anyone, don’t look at anyone. Leave as fast as possible. And have your phone ready to capture any moments of abuse to customers. I had my phone on and up, but was too shocked by what I was seeing to capture it on video....
Read moreTruck Rental is a joke now. New bad review. I went 4/28/2025 to rent the pickup truck. Seems simple. Nope. HD now has a computer/app system for renting vehicles called CLEAR. Associate gives you a code to scan then YOU do all the work. Uploading your picture, your license, your insurance, entering texted codes, accepting they will use your data and personal information. I am sure this is a corp money maker/ saver and they dumbed it down to the associates level. So I start doing this but then the app on my phone hangs up. I try again. (see pic added) No go it's messed up now. Both associates tell me happens a lot and the app sucks. Ok I ask now what do we do. They said I could call CLEAR but warned other customers have done this but to no avail. So we are done here I guess I said? Yep. I went down the road to Menards, rented the their truck in 5-6 minutes o a paper form and decided to buy my products there instead. HD has no interest in resolving the rental issue. Elon would fire you all. Older Review: Curbside is non-functional. Save your time. Even when u have issues if you check in and it’s taking a long time they give you a number to call. I get that, ok. The extension provided is fake. Doesn’t exist. So the main number rang and rang. I eventually went in. I mentioned the bad extension, guy said he knew about it and said he saw the phone ringing. So what are customer supposed to do? Some people use this feature at HD for convenience. Others because they have kids or dog or family in the car so they...
Read moreThis location has messed up our delivery no less than four times in the past few weeks! Because the delivery location is a renovation house that is currently uninhabited we requested a call so we could be there during the delivery. Apparently, the delivery people don't read the delivery instructions. We ended up having to reschedule the delivery three times! And when they finally did deliver the items they failed to call us and the items sat outside the house for about 6 hours (and it drizzled later that day). We found items missing, and while we were able to pick some of them up at the store, another set of missing items is still being disputed by the store...as if we are lying that it wasn't delivered! The photo taken by the delivery person of the delivered items clearly leaves out the one set of items that we were able to pick up...so why is it hard to believe they would miss another set of items? Rather ridiculous, this place. No apologies by the managers when we went in today. If they don't re-deliver the items that weren't delivered in the first place, or refund us the nearly $200 we spent on said items, we will contact the corporate office and detail our entire horrible experience. Our total order for that delivery was about $1,000, and yet we are treated like we are nothing. I told my wife that going forward we will get everything at the Menards just down the road. Home Depot in Fairfield Township is not...
