Fairfield Burr Homestead — Attraction in Fairfield

I first visited the Burr Homestead as a small child for Christmas, and now so many years later I visited as a full-time wedding and engagement photographer. It is a beautiful home, so well maintained to echo the past, but offering all the amenities and comforts of today. Fairfield is a great community - though I am biased having attended Fairfield University - and the neighborhood around Burr is a sensational one. When you’re outdoors you’ll find there is plenty of space for the ceremony on site as well as a big reception tent as well as the use of the homestead. We were present for a fall wedding and loved using the foliage. The staff was very attentive to us throughout the day and always kind, and they took wonderful care of the bride and groom. There is even a cute space for getting ready photos! If you want an elegant but affordable venue in Fairfield County for a small to mid-sized wedding this should on your list.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Burr Mansion. Throughout the wedding planning process, Allison (manager) was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly accommodating, provided recommendations when we were struggling to find certain vendors or planning different aspects of the day, and had excellent communication. Any time we reached out with questions or concerns, she responded quickly! She helped us in the days leading up and breaking down the decorations, which was so kind and genuine. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day ran smoothly and was incredibly professional. Also, the grounds and house are STUNNING. Allison and Burr Homestead are the perfect place for any event. I don't know where to begin. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Allison is professional and goes above and beyond. She answered all of my questions and always ensured that we were comfortable and happy. We had to postpone our wedding quite a few times due to covid and Allison was willing to work with us to ensure our day was perfect. As a bride, it is easy to get flustered but everyone needs to remember this pandemic impacted EVERYONE.
