I came to this establishment during the holiday and I simply could not let management get away with the behavior that was distatefully displayed. It was the first time I'd brought my father to the restaurant. I ordered the salmon and a side of spinach. When our food came to my suprise a majority of plate of salmon was filled with vegetable. So before the waiter even had a chance to place the spinach on our table I politely told that the extra spinach I'd ordered was not necessary since my entree had an adequate share on vegetables. She was kind about it. 5 mins later our waiter returned and asked if there was anything wrong I said No Im sure it taste fine I just no longer have a need for it. She smiled and returned and a 2nd waiter came out with the SAME PLATE OF SPINACH. At this point we were absolutely confused so we asked for the manager and store owner to speak with us. The store owner never felt the need to come at all. But Miss STEPHANIE? One of their shift managers. She came out and began to show her tail in front of the entire restaurant about just how serious she was about making a point that we were going to have the spinach whether we liked it or not. Now my family and I are not at all new to going to wonderful restaurants with great food, ambiance/aesthetics and excellent costumer service SO WE KNOW that if the customer isnt satisfied it is the job of the establishment to rectify the issue. STEPHANIE WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, DISTASTEFUL but we know her kind. She came to the table, barely addressed us and remained militant in her decision about SPINACH which is $2.00 a bag. 2 WHOLE DOLLARS. My father said mam the money is not an issue its the principle and youve lost a costumer. Do YOU KNOW THAT STEPHANIE SCARCASTICALLY RESPONDED WITH "WELL YEA I KNOW YOURE SO RICH SO YOUVE GOT IT". How absolutely repugnant is that? Stephanie continued to fuss and speak down to us (Yes we are black. Yes she was white. Do with that what you may. But if we were a white family the comments she made wouldnt even be a thought) These are the types of people they have in position at this establishment. 0 respect! DO NOT TAKE YOUR BLACK DOLLARS TO PLACES THAT DO NOT REGARD OR...
Read moreI’ll start this by saying first off I never leave reviews unless something needs to be said. Which is the truth - so this is my 3rd time dining at Sinclair and I can honestly say it’s always a weird vibe / atmosphere amongst whomever I’m with of COLOR ( black American)but I said let’s go since I do enjoy they’re food. today me and my 2 friends wanted to sit outside since it was a nice warm day with a bit of a breeze .. we were sat down by a young lady who was sweet she must’ve been new. Our waiter then came whom I believe was of Spanish descent she took our orders in a rush - my one friend didn’t know what she wanted to drink and was asking her about the drink collection she was very rude and telling her “ well think about by the time I come back “ ok we let that slide then one worker came and asked us how were we doing , ok that’s fine checking in on us. Then our waiter comes to check on us and ask us how we’re doing - at this point our food had just came by a cook from the back I assume or a waiter. We’re eating then the manager came to check on us but as I’m seated I can visually see our waiter talking to the manager that kept looking at us. Not sure if they were looking bcus hence we sat outside they were scared that we would leave without paying is what it was giving which is very disrespectful and disturbing that this is the type of service they serve blacks. The manager proceeds to walk to us and he asks how we’re doing I then ask “ hey sir are you the manager ? “ He nodded yes. Why is that why we were seated 7.x since I counted we were spoken to and constantly watched while eating which made us very uncomfortable. One of my friends did mention that they were races but I sure didn’t want to believe it. Sinclair do better please for the sake of us all we wanted to do was enjoy our brunch and catch up on each other since we’re all so busy with school and graduating with degrees- we literally were going to speak up and talk to the manger but we decided peace and didn’t think he would even understand our point of view so I decided I’ll leave...
Read moreThis is for those that don't get out much and or tired of taking the chance with a new. Like myself, when given this opportunity you want to make it count. I'd like to add by no means am I a connoisseur, however It's commonplace to have tested the waters in every restaurant located within Fairfield county at least once, that I've done, so this review has merit. Let's start with the atmosphere, which is not quite like anywhere else. Plenty of light in the day which is absolutely perfect for those family outings or social gatherings, it is by far one of the nicest settings I've been to in awhile. Trust me, I'm that person that needs ambiance, essential added touches to placemat settings and the cleanliness of the establishment are a must. Also location is key, located right in the center of downtown Fairfield within walking distance to anywhere else if this place just isn't for you. However you won't be disappointed, no matter the situation (I've yet to have any) the staff is eager and willing to help at all times. Handicap accessibility is bar none, plenty of parking, bathrooms and easy egress for wheelchairs. From steak to seafood, salad to breakfast/brunch the menu is loaded and all of which is done with presentation, nothing is just slapped on a plate. No abuse of fillers, salts, seasoning, it all has the perfect amount of flavor so so my last 2 visits to this location I've had zero regrets, simply asking the waiter to just surprise us. Sure enough it was a new favorite. For you desert lovers, are multiple ice cream joints within walking distance and all great, but after experimenting here (dessert is always a tricky one) I don't get my dessert anywhere else. I hope this review comes in handy for those...
